ALPINA CEO presents the new Alpina XB7 and B3 models June 27, 2020 The ALPINA version of the BMW X7 was launched just a few weeks ago. It was dubbed ALPINA XB7, following the usual ALPINA naming scheme and is truly a BMW X7 M surrogate. However, due to the current situation around the world, we didn’t get a chance to see it up close. Since that’s the case, the CEO of the company, Andreas Bovensiepen, decided to give us a personal, private tour of the car. Therefore, ALPINA set up a live stream showcasing their latest models and that includes the XB7 and the ALPINA B3. While the XB7 is a surrogate for a car we’ll never get from BMW, the B3 is just a stand-in for a BMW M3 until the new generation comes out. The XB7 is arguably the best version of an X7 so far. It is based on the X7 M50i but has taken things to a whole new level, at least power-wise. The 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8 under the hood now makes 621 HP and 800 Nm of torque, enough to take on any rival out there. Thanks to the standard all-wheel drive system, it will do 0-62 mph in 4.2 seconds, which is absolutely insane for a car of this size. As for the ALPINA B3, it is based on the BMW M340i. It uses a reworked B58 3-liter straight six engine tuned to develop 460 HP and 700 Nm of torque. To do that, the people in Buchloe developed a new intake system, a new exhaust, a new cooling system as well as new turbos and a new ECU. With all-wheel drive, the ALPINA B3 will do 0-62 mph in 3.8 seconds. 2021 BMW ALPINA XB7 Interior Cabin The generous interior features three rows of seats as standard. The second row either features a rear bench with three seats or – optionally – two comfortable individual captain’s chairs with integrated armrests. Depending on the seat configuration, the luggage compartment provides capacity ranging from 48.6 to 90.4 cubic feet. For comfortable loading, the BMW ALPINA XB7 can be lowered by up to 2 inches at the push of a button that is located in the luggage compartment. The standard three-part panoramic glass sunroof contributes to a light and airy atmosphere in the interior, which emphasizes the generous space. To enhance exclusivity even further, the optional Panorama Sky Lounge LED Roof, generates a very special aura when darkness falls, with LED light spreading evenly across the glass surfaces to illuminate more than 15,000 graphic patterns and generate a display reminiscent of a starlit sky. The interior’s distinguishing details and features which set it apart from the mainstream: exclusive 'Crafted Clarity' glass application and iDrive controller in ALPINA design, blue illuminated gear selector switch, ALPINA production plaque, illuminated ALPINA door sills and the unique ALPINA sport steering wheel hand-finished in finest LAVALINA leather and featuring trademark Blue/Green stitching. In addition to the ALPINA Myrtle Luxury Wood interior trim, two further ALPINA trim variants are optionally available: Piano lacquer and all-new Natural Walnut Anthracite. Each of the ALPINA wood trim variants features the ALPINA roundel logo. The full-color 12.3 inch digital instrument display with ALPINA design features advanced configuration options, sport displays, and customizable views, and forms part of a large display combination with BMW’s traditional driver orientation. The cockpit design offers a convincing user experience, with intuitive operation via a high-resolution 12.3 inch touch display, direct selection buttons, or iDrive Controller, voice, or gesture control.

La riñonada en semejante mamotreto es hasta entendible. Lo que no es entendible es que el Serie 4 tenga más riñones que este bicho. La preparación le da un toque de clase y distinción muy chulo. El interior está bonito de narices. No es un coche para derrapar ni ostentar, creo que le queda bien todo.
