This series of “How to Drift” explains the differences in drifting in rear-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive. We show these two different types of drifting with the BMW M8 Competition Coupé (Fuel consumption in l/100 km (combined): 10.6. CO2 emissions in g/km (combined): 242) and its BMW M xDrive system, where the drive train is configurable for 2WD and 4WD mode.

We show combined drifting with the BMW M2 Competition on closed roads with a professional driver. BMW M2 Competition: Fuel consumption in l/100 km (combined): 10.0 [9.2] CO2 emissions in g/km (combined): 227 [209] The figures in brackets refer to the vehicle with seven-speed M double-clutch transmission with Drivelogic. The values of fuel consumptions, CO2 emissions and energy consumptions shown were determined according to the European Regulation (EC) 715/2007 in the version applicable at the time of type approval.
