BMW confirms BMW X2 Sport Activity Coupe.


BMW has confirmed the X2 for introduction in 2017.

xDrive only, practical 5dr format and sportier 3dr with typical BMW Sport Activity Coupe design outline, based on new BMW X1.

Will be sister vehicles to the new MINI Countryman/PACEMAN.

Next Countryman influenced by the Dakar-winning competition car as a proper go-anywhere SUV than before.
The PACEMAN will be the more stylish sportier lifestyle model but will feature 5drs for added practicality.

Vast majority of customers in the C-Segment would consider a MINI if it offered more flexibility and practicality, hence why there is an upcoming 5dr MINI hatch and a more practical Clubman coming. MINI PACEMAN now joins the practical side of MINI.

Menuda manía de sacar todas las carrocerías posibles. Yo me pregunto, ¿Les sale rentable tener tanta oferta y que se vendan las mismas unidades pero repartidas en 20 modelos distintos? Imagino que diseñar un coche nuevo, aunque compartan piezas, tendrá un coste... ¿No? Y si no mirar a Mini con los Country y Paceman (o como se llamen...).

Por favor, los coches a poder ser de 1.40 metros para abajo. Los de 1.45 para arriba dejémoslos para transportar a personas de edad avanzada que, con todos los respetos, puedan tener dificultades para entrar y salir de coches bajos.

According to Automotive News, the BMW X7 will be one of the significant announcements at the Spartanburg press event scheduled for March 28.

The Wall Street Journal, citing sources, reported late yesterday that BMW will spend several hundred million dollars to expand the plant to build the three-row seven-seat X7.

Construction at the plant would boost production levels to 400,000 vehicles annually, says Automotive News. It is currently being expanded to build 350,000 a year.

After the X4 goes into production, the X7 will represent the fifth vehicle to be built at Spartanburg (joining the X3, X4, X5 ad X6). Roughly half of the X models currently built are exported to more than 130 countries.

En cualquier caso me parece una pasada de opciones de carrocerías... con la de opciones que cada una de ellas comporta. Mejor para nosotros como clientes, pues más podemos elegir.
Imagino que son las necesidades que impone el ser considerada marca premiun y tratar de mantener tu cuota de mercado.
