El legendario Lancia 037 regresa como un superdeportivo moderno de Kimera Automobili

Una empresa llamada Kimera Automobili ha anunciado sus planes de ofrecer un nuevo superdeportivo incondicional que rinde homenaje al Lancia 037 original, el último coche 2WD que ganó un título del WRC.
Kimera Automobili es una de las tiendas de restauración preferidas cuando se trata de autos de rally italianos antiguos, particularmente Lancias como el Stratos, Delta y,
por supuesto, el 037 .
El nuevo Kimera EVO37 será un coche completamente nuevo que se mantendrá fiel al diseño y la ingeniería
del Lancia 037 original . La compañía ha contratado ingenieros que han trabajado en el original para ayudarlos a crear una reencarnación moderna del histórico Lancia.
Uno de los nombres que se destacan es Claudio Lombardi, el ingeniero detrás del
motor de rally de cuatro cilindros turboalimentado y sobrealimentado de Lancia . Con la ayuda de Lombardi, el nuevo Kimera EVO37 utilizará un diseño similar, pero el motor de cuatro cilindros sobrealimentado y turboalimentado de 2.0 litros se modernizará a los estándares actuales.
Kimera promete que el nuevo EVO37 ofrecerá alrededor de 550 HP una vez que esté listo, y el sobrealimentador será de propulsión eléctrica en lugar de una correa tradicional. La empresa ofrece la posibilidad de elegir entre transmisión manual o secuencial. Combinado con una cifra de peso de solo 950 kg (2,094 libras), esta recreación moderna del Lancia 037 debería ser algo muy emocionante de conducir.
La producción, por supuesto, será limitada, con Kimera para construir solo 37 ejemplos del EVO37. Legendary Lancia 037 Returns As A Modern Supercar From Kimera Automobili

A company called Kimera Automobili has announced its plans to offer a new hardcore supercar that pays homage to the original Lancia 037, the last 2WD car to have won a WRC title.
Kimera Automobili is one of the go-to restoration shops when it comes to vintage Italian rally cars, particularly Lancias like the Stratos, Delta, and
of course the 037.
The new Kimera EVO37 will be a brand new car that will remain faithful to the design and engineering
of the original Lancia 037. The company has enlisted engineers that have worked on the original to help them create a modern reincarnation of the historic Lancia.
One of the names that stand out is Claudio Lombardi, the engineer behind Lancia’s
turbocharged and supercharged four-cylinder rally engine. With Lombardi’s help, the new Kimera EVO37 is going to use a similar layout but the 2.0-liter turbocharged and supercharged four-cylinder engine will be modernized to today’s standards.
Kimera promises that the new EVO37 will offer around 550 HP once it’s ready, with the supercharger being electric-driven instead of a traditional belt. The company offers the choice between a manual or sequential transmission. Combined with a weight figure of just 950kg (2,094 lbs), this modern recreation of the Lancia 037 should be a pretty exciting thing to drive.
Production will of course be limited, with Kimera to build just 37 examples of the EVO37. Prices reportedly start at around the half-a-million-euro mark ($600k in current exchange rates) but if you missed out on securing a slot, fear not as Kimera will also produce 10 more cars that will be fitted
with ‘Integrale’ four-wheel-drive systems.
