Y no sólo para Röhrl. Somos muchos quienes admiramos a este biplaza que Porsche fabricó en serie limitada a 1.270 unidades para todo el mundo durante 3 años, de 2003 a 2006. Precisamente por el diseño, su V10 de 5.7 litros y 612 CV, los 330 km/h de velocidad punta que alcanzaba, el Carrera GT es un coche que aún hoy pone los pelos de punta. Cuando se puso a la venta, el precio de lanzamiento del Carrera GT rondaba los 500.000 euros. Una cifra que hoy se ha multiplicado. El último ejemplo para comprobarlo es esta unidad que Sotheby’s subastará próximamente. Se trata del ejemplar con chasis número WP0CA298X5L001502 y número de serie 0994. Salió de fábrica el 1 de agosto de 2005 y se trata de uno de los 644 Carrera GT que se vendieron en EEUU. Ahora, cuesta tres veces más. ¿Existe una burbuja con el Carrera GT? El Porsche Carrera GT 0994 se matriculó por primera vez en julio de 2006 a través de Autohaus Porsche de Peoria, Illinois, y 20 años después apenas tiene 4.700 millas, apenas 7.500 km. Durante ese tiempo ha cambiado varias veces de manos hasta llegar a Kimmy Repasi, del dueño de Repasi Motorwerks, quien ha hecho una fuerte inversión para mantener el coche en el mejor estado posible. Este tipo de coche con esas potencias y embrague de fricción tienen eso. Y si no eres muy fino... He visto cargarse un embrague de un Aventador a estrenar, subiéndolo a un camión y eso que en ese coche es pilotado, no lo accionas tú. Con la matraca de no, no, lo subo yo.
Dicen las malas lenguas que meter la primera en el GT tiene su aquel, que el embrague cerámico está durito y hay que cogerle el rollo...

Desconozco la historia de la unidad y el trato que ha tenido. Los amortiguadores han podido sufrir deterioro por tiempo, no hablamos un último modelo, y en un coche de estos no se puede andar tipo forero en chanclas y raja de ojal ventilado al agacharse
