AC Schnitzer toca por primera vez un Toyota, le sube al Supra de 340 cv/500 Nm a 400 cv/600 Nm y da 3 años de garantía... quizás porque cuando otros lo han metido en banco prácticamente ya daba esa cifra de serie

Toyota Gazoo Racing will start sales of the GR Supra GT4 race car to customer teams in March 2020. The new competition model will initially be offered in Europe, followed by North America in August and Japan/Asia in October next year, strengthening the company’s focus on customer motorsport1. The GR Supra GT4 is based on the road-going GR Supra, Toyota Gazoo Racing’s first global model, released earlier this year. It is developed and produced by Toyota Motorsport GmbH (TMG). The three-litre in-line six-cylinder engine with single twin-scroll turbocharger has been tuned to 430bhp/320kW2 and is matched to a seven-speed sports automatic transmission with paddle shifts and a mechanical limited-slip differential. The performance elements include an Akrapovič exhaust system, and first-fill lubricants are supplied by Ravenol. The car’s front splitter and rear wing are made of a natural fibre composite, contributing to an overall vehicle weight of 1,350kg2. Following the specification of the GR Supra road car, the suspension system features front MacPherson struts and a multilink arrangement at the rear. Adjustable KW performance dampers are used both front and rear. The braking system is uprated with dedicated Brembo racing callipers – six-pot at the front and four-pot at the rear – and the OZ five-hole 11×18-inch wheels are shod with 305/660 Pirelli tyres. Safety provisions include a high-strength roll cage for the lightweight steel body and an FIA-standard racing seat with six-point harness. The interior is fitted with a carbon fibre instrument panel with a display and steering wheel designed specifically for GT4 competition. BMW Z4 By AC Schnitzer Blends More Power With Sporty Body Kit The Z4 M40i now packs 400 horsepower. It was only yesterday when German tuner AC Schnitzer introduced its aftermarket program for the 2020 Toyota Supra and now its sibling from BMW is getting a wide variety of goodies covering all the bases. The highlight of the package is obviously the Z4 M40i, but there are plenty of upgrades for the lesser versions of the sporty roadster built by Magna Steyr in Graz, Austria alongside the Zupra. With its turbocharged straight-six engine producing 382 hp, the M40i range topper packs plenty of punch if you’re buying one in the United States. That being said, Europeans have to settle for 340 hp due to the more stringent emissions regulations severely taming the 3.0-liter unit. If you want the power back and some extra ponies thrown into the mix, AC Schnitzer can massage the engine to develop a healthy 400 hp. While they’re at it, torque grows from 500 Newton-meters (369 pound-feet) to 600 Nm (443 lb-ft). The tuner says additional power upgrades are being worked on for the 30i and 20i versions to take them beyond the current 258 hp & 400 Nm / 295 lb-ft and 197 hp & 320 Nm / 236 lb-ft, respectively. To match the extra oomph, AC Schnitzer has developed a slightly more aggressive body kit including a front splitter and a two-piece rear spoiler. The Z4 also receives chunky side skirts and hood vents, while the standard wheels are replaced by custom 20-inch alloys available in two different designs. You can match the new shoes with a suspension lowering kit that brings the convertible closer to the road by 25 mm (nearly an inch). If you happen to have the range-topping M40i, an adjustable suspension is available from the Aachen-based tuner at an additional cost, as is a quad exhaust system to trick people into believing it’s the Z4 M that BMW has said it won’t build. Some changes have also occurred inside the cabin where the two-seater roadster has received an aluminum set of paddles behind the steering wheel, along with more aluminum for the pedals, footrest, and even the key holder if you really want to go all out with the options. On top of all these items, AC Schnitzer throws in a five-year warranty for your peace of mind.
No es lo mismo poner 40i que 4.0i. A día de hoy, con las cilindradas actuales, no puedes hacer que coincidan todos los números de las versiones con la cilindrada real.
Para mí es la misma engañifa poner a un 3.000 cc la nomenclatura M40i, cuando tenía que ser M30i, al menos el de Schnitzer puede decir que el 4.0i es por los 400 cv
Como te he comentado, con las cilindradas actuales no puedes ajustar la la denominación a la cilindrada. Si tal y como dices, a este 40i lo denominas 30i, ¿cómo denominas al 30i?
Pues si es un 2.000 cc, tampoco lo denominaría 30i Al Z4 2.0i que lleva un L4 2.000 cc 197 cv, pues me vale Z4 20i Al que llaman Z4 3.0i pero que lleva el mismo L4 2.000 cc subido a 258 cv, lo denominaría M20i o Z4 25i Al M40i que lleva un L6 3.000 cc 340 cv lo denominaría M30i o en todo caso por la potencia M34i, nunca M40i
No me vale, porque hay series en las que hay bloques con 3 potencias diferentes. ¿Cómo lo haces en ese caso, más letras? Yo veo más lógico lo que hacen ahora. Pero vamos, que nos desviamos. El "problema" es que AC juega aún más al engaño con el "4.0".
