Photo Comparison: 2023 BMW M2 vs 2023 Ford Mustang Dark Horse October 13, 2022 The BMW M2 has its usual competition. Cars like the Audi RS3 Mercedes-AMG A45 will always be its main competitors. However, there will also be some… dark horse candidates. Okay, so that was a cheeky foreshadowing pun. But the BMW M2 will have an interesting competitor in the new Mustang Dark Horse and we’re here to check out their looks. Put brand snobbery aside and you’ll realize that the Mustang Dark Horse offers more power and just as much track-ready performance (if not more) for around the same money. Plus, it uses a big stonking V8, rather than a relatively puny I6, with a much better soundtrack. So it might not have the premium cabin of the M2 but it won’t lack in thrill factor. Let’s check ’em out. Up Front So I’m a bit conflicted on this one. Neither car is particularly pretty up front. The BMW M2’s grille is odd, its front air intakes are too boxy, and it’s a bit too over-styled. However, the Mustang is also a bit over-styled and it has its own issues. I think I like the Mustang a bit more up front because of its slim headlights, it’s kick-ass hood scoop, and simpler grille. But it’s a narrow victory. From the Side This one’s pretty easy for me. The Mustang takes the win here. It’s such a traditionally good looking coupe in profile, with a long hood, short rear deck, muscular rear fender flares, bang-on proportions, and a really fun rear wing. It’s a beautiful car from the side and will continue to look great for decades to come. The BMW M2, ironically, has a lot of those same traits but there are too many awkward design elements, like the oddly flat hood, the abrupt right-angle end to its rear fender flare, and super upright front end. Don’t get me wrong, the M2 looks good from the side but this really is a case of one car looks good while the other looks great. Out Back Both cars have slightly awkward rear ends. The BMW M2’s taillights are still odd and its rear bumper, the way it has flanking fangs of sorts at either end, is just strange. The Mustang is a bit less odd but the way its taillights are sort of concave kinda bothers me. They also look too small. Neither car is bad, neither car is great, they just both have sorta “meh” butts. However, the Mustang wins it because of that killer rear wing. How do you not see that thing in the morning and grin like a childish hooligan. Inside The BMW M2 wins here, it’s pretty easy. Both cars suffer from a wall-of-screens dashboard design but the Mustang’s is even more offensive than BMW’s. The M2’s screens are fairly small compared to the Dark Horse’s, which makes the wall seem less obstructive. On the Mustang, that wall-of-screens seems massive and takes up the entire dashboard view. It also just seems a bit humdrum inside, whereas the M2 looks a bit more special, especially with those awesome seats. The ‘Stang gets cool Recaros, which will be nice, but the M2’s seats look better. Although, one feature of the Mustang is so cool that it single-handidly almost made me choose it over the M2—its retro gauges. You can choose a digital recreation of the Fox-body Mustang’s gauges from the ’80s in the gauge cluster and that’s awesome. More brands should do that (ahem, BMW). Overall The Mustang Dark Horse is the better looking car. It just is. It’s more of a classic sports car, it’s long, it’s muscular, it’s seductive, it’s everything enthusiasts want in a sports car, design-wise. The M2
Los accesorios M Performance del BMW M2 2023 pondrán la piel de gallina a los propietarios del Civic Type R 12 DE OCTUBRE DE 2022 Siempre supimos que M Performance Parts seguiría poco después del lanzamiento del BMW M2 2023 para reavivar las llamas de nuestro interés en el nuevo cupé deportivo, pero no hay necesidad de esperar porque, aparentemente, ya podemos verlos. Wilcoblok de Instagram ha publicado un conjunto de fotos de aspecto oficial del nuevo M2 que se dice que proviene directamente de BMW M con una gama de piezas de rendimiento. Si bien el automóvil estándar no es exactamente lo que llamarías conservador, estos complementos toman el diseño por encima de la cabeza. Comparado por muchos con el Honda Civic Type R de última generación debido a su gran ala y la abundancia de tracas, las piezas M Performance están demostrando ser controvertidas. Instagram’s Wilcoblok has posted a set of official-looking photos of the new M2 said to be sourced directly from BMW M with a range of performance parts on. While the standard car isn’t exactly what you’d call conservative, these add-ons take the design over-the-top. Compared by many to the last-generation Honda Civic Type R due to its big wing and abundance of strakes, the M Performance parts are proving to be controversial. In response to the photos, one commentor to Wilcoblok’s post wrote that “they just made it worse!” You can decide for yourself, though, whether the new parts are an improvement or not. They appear to include an extended front splitter that rises up along the sides of the bumper ahead of the front wheels. The side inlets on the bumper also have diagonal strakes, instead of straight ones. Black mirror caps, meanwhile, can be found a little farther back on the M2, and there are black strakes pointing rearward from the back of all four wheel arches. In front of the rear wheel arches, meanwhile, there are L-shaped brackets. Up higher, there are two aero elements. The first is a spoiler at the very top of the rear window and the second is a larger wing that arches over the trunk. At the back, the bumper gets new black fillers, and the exhaust tips are moved to the center of the bumper, in much the same way as can be done to the M4. On the hood, meanwhile, M2 script can be seen at the center of the power bulge. The opposite of subtle, these alleged M Performance parts make the standard M2 look reserved by comparison. Si fuera una empresa tuning estaria contento pensando que si hago unos buenos paragolpes en cuanto a estetica y calidad, con un acabado parezca oem, me los van a quitar de las manos.
Lo del performance es cutre cutretunning del Norauto no me jodas.. Y del normal a falta de verlo en directo solo me entra la vista lateral. Los paragolpes son vomitivos, los faros traseros un horror, el difusor creo que es el único del mundo que no me dice nada.. Los pantallones son la antilujuria del motorsport, los asientos me encantan, eso si..

El nuevo M2 de BMW se presenta en sociedad con 460 caballos derivados directamente al tren trasero y mantiene su esencia ofreciendo la posibilidad de instalar un cambio manual. Es todo un purista! El bloque es el mismo 6 cilindros biturbo que utilizan el BMW M3 o el M4, aunque con algo menos de potencia. Con él pasa de 0 a 100 km/h en 4,1 segundos. El coche en total mide 4,58 metros de largo, 1,89 metros de ancho y 1,40 metros de alto, con una distancia entre ejes de 2,75 metros. La distribución del peso es perfecta, ya que va al 50:50. En opción se puede equipar con el techo de fibra de carbono, algo que en el anterior BMW M2 solo estaba disponible en el caso de la versión CS. Con este techo se ahorran seis kilos respecto al modelo convencional. Pasemos al interior. Este sigue la senda marcada por los últimos lanzamientos de la marca en materia de digitalización. Presenta una doble pantalla contigua para el cuadro de mandos y el sistema multimedia. La primera es de 12,3 pulgadas y la segunda de 14,9. Todas ellas se manejan desde el BMW iDrive basado en el sistema operativo BMW ID8. En todo coche deportivo que se precie, los asientos son un elemento clave. Aquí llegan unos deportivos de nuevo diseño con superficies en Sensatec y Alcantara que tienen muy buena pinta.

Me estoy fijando en las rejillas que hay justo debajo del faro (en el serie 2 normal es parte del paragolpes) y pensaba que eran de verdad por temas de ventilacion y resulta que van cerradas
Seguro ?? En el mío en esas rejillas lleva radiadores pequeños, o es el mismo corrido no me he fijado, lo que si lleva sin aletas ahi
El nuevo BMW M2 ya está disponible en el configurador de BMW España con un precio desde 89.900 euros, un precio que es el mismo tanto para la transmisión manual de 6 relaciones como la automática de 8. Por este precio nos llevamos a casa uno de los M más interesantes del momento, pues su planteamiento se ha mantenido fiel a la receta original, lo que se traduce en el uso de un motor 3.0 Twin-Turbo que envía sus 460 CV y 550 Nm únicamente al eje posterior. A ello se suma una notable ganancia en tecnología, amén de un mayor espacio interior y posibilidades en equipamiento. Pero si echamos la mirada atrás, nos encontramos con que el BMW M2 (370 CV) de anterior generación tenía un precio desde 65.300 euros en el momento de su lanzamiento en 2017, elevando este precio hasta los 74.700 euros en el caso del M2 Competition (410 CV) y 103.900 euros en el M2 CS (450 CV). Hablamos por lo tanto de un salto de precio bastante importante, incluso teniendo en cuenta las mejoras introducidas por este nuevo M2. Como referencia, un BMW M4 de anterior generación (2017) tenía un precio de 94.670 euros, si bien este modelo también se ha encarecido bastante con su renovación al pasar a costar ahora 119.450 euros.
