Aerodynamics

The basis of the aerodynamics package is the black front splitter on the front axle, which can be installed without further painting and which increases the downforce figures of the M3 by up to 40 kg*. This is complemented by front side wings, which were also developed specifically for the M3.

The new design package, consisting of a 4-pieced deflector set for the front fenders and two design elements for the bonnet of the M3, give the front end the finishing touch and a look all of its own.

Interior

The interior design is also stylish and functional. "THE" control element, with which you have every driving situation firmly under control, is the AC Schnitzer sports steering wheel. Está previsto que desde finales de año, AC Schnitzer tenga listo un nuevo kit especialmente desarrollado para el nuevo BMW M4 Cabrio. El descapotable de los bávaros redobla el nivel de agresividad por fuera, al mismo tiempo que también marcará un nuevo nivel con un aumento muy generoso en las prestaciones.




El BMW M4 Cabrio es uno de los descapotables más deportivos de su categoría, y prácticamente el único, superando muy de largo al de los cuatro aros y al representante de la marca de la estrella. Su imagen exterior es un ejemplo de una imponencia brutal difícil de encontrar en otros modelos, pero para muchos no es suficiente y buscan siempre un plus.

Ese extra lo ponen los de AC Schnitzer. El especialista alemán en tuning se ha sacado de la manga una serie de componentes que no solo satisfacen esta petición, sino que también tienen un propósito funcionalmente aerodinámico, con piezas pintadas en negro brillante para las branquias de respiración abiertas en el panel del capó, y el mismo acabado para el juego de deflectores instalados en el paragolpes delanteros, el faldón frontal y laterales, las tomas de respiración de las aletas delanteras o el inserto del paragolpes trasero que engloba al difusor y a las cuatro salidas de escape del tope de la gama del Serie 4 Cabrio.

Los escapes cuentan con un diámetro de 110 milímetros cada uno y pueden estar embutidos en unos embellecedores de carbono. Para los que quieren destacar algo más, el sistema de escape puede disponer de un silenciador de acero inoxidable que ofrecerá un sonido más llamativo. El G83 también recibe de la mano del preparador los emblemas correspondientes en la parte trasera, unas impresionantes llantas de aleación forjada de 20 pulgadas pintadas en color gris antracita y en negro brillante o dos colores con sobreprecio.


Están montadas en neumáticos de medidas de 285/30 R20 delante y de 295/30 R20 detrás. Si bien su estilo puede ser divisivo, no se puede negar el hecho de que el nuevo BMW M4 es un excelente auto deportivo para conducir y cuando está equipado con algunos accesorios de AC Schnitzer, se vuelve aún más impresionante.

AC Schnitzer anunció por primera vez su conjunto de actualizaciones para el buque insignia M4 Competition en junio. Estas modificaciones modifican tanto el estilo exterior como el interior del automóvil, al tiempo que aumentan su rendimiento. Y, como muestra este video de AutoTopNL, resultan en un automóvil de rendimiento bastante feroz.

Driving AC Schnitzer’s BMW M4 Competition Will Make You Forget About Those Looks

While its styling may be divisive, there’s no denying the fact that the new BMW M4 is an excellent sports car to drive and when outfitted with some goodies from AC Schnitzer, becomes even more impressive.


AC Schnitzer first announced its suite of upgrades for the flagship M4 Competition back in June. These modifications tweak both the exterior and interior styling of the car, while also increasing its performance. And, as this video from AutoTopNL shows, they result in quite a ferocious performance car.

As standard, the M4 Competition has a 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged six-cylinder engine that churns out 503 hp. After AC Schnitzer’s mods, this example is now good for 590 hp. A new exhaust system also ensures that it sounds even better than the standard model.

Among the visual upgrades offered by AC Schnitzer include a new carbon fiber front splitter and aerodynamic canards on either side of the front bumper. The sports car can also be equipped with unique side skirts, a unique rear diffuser, and one of two different spoiler options, which include a large fixed wing.

The German tuner also offers a distinct set of springs for the M4 that lower the ride height by 20-25 mm (0.78-0.98-inches) at the front and by 15-20 mm (0.59-0.78 inches) at the rear. Moreover, it is also in the midst of developing an adjustable suspension system for the car.

AutoTopNL recently had the opportunity to take the tuned M4 out for a ride and, as you can see in the video right below, it quite the performer.

Si bien es cierto que el BMW M3 Competition no necesita ningún aditivo para impresionar, los expertos preparadores de AC Schnitzer no han perdido la oportunidad de hacerle un traje a medida al sedán deportivo y han creado un kit de carrocería específico para añadirle un extra de picante. Pero no solo se han limitado a agregar modificaciones estéticas.

Entre otras mejoras mecánicas, este M3 G80 superlativo y rebautizado como ACS3 Sport, ha recibido un extra de potencia y ahora desarrolla ni más ni menos que 590 CV y alcanza los 750 Nm de par. A la ecuación sumamos nuevos elementos en el interior como el volante y el resultado es un oscuro objeto de deseo para todo apasionado de los coches.


Las modificaciones justas


Los preparadores alemanes de AC Schnitzer llevan más de tres décadas preparando BMW, MINI, Land Rover o Toyota y saben cómo combinar a la perfección las dosis justas de estética, aerodinámica y rendimiento para conseguir versiones verdaderamente salvajes de cada uno de los coches que pasan por sus instalaciones.

Es el caso de este impresionante BMW M3 Competition, que ha pasado muchas horas en el túnel de viento para llegar a su versión definitiva y más radical.

Empezando por la aerodinámica del coche, AC Schnitzer ha incluido un nuevo splitter delantero que añade 40 kg de carga aerodinámica a 200 km/h, nuevos aletines y salidas de aire en el capó, un spoiler al final del techo que suma otros 20 kg y un generoso alerón trasero que, en combinación con el difusor de fibra de carbono, añade 70 kg más.



En cuanto a estética, llaman la atención detalles como las llantas forjadas de 20 pulgadas (disponibles en plata o en antracita) que van envueltas por neumáticos de competición con unas medidas de 285/30 R 20 en el eje delantero y 295/30 R 20 en el trasero. Remata el conjunto un nuevo sistema de escape de acero inoxidable con salidas en carbono de 110 mm de diámetro.

En el apartado mecánico, este M3 ha recibido una nueva suspensión roscada RS ajustable (en compresión y en extensión) para lograr un equilibrio idóneo entre dureza y manejo del coche a altas velocidades. Con ella, se puede reducir la altura del coche hasta en 20 mm para pegarlo aún más al asfalto.



Y por si el conocido motor 3.0 de seis cilindros en línea con tecnología M TwinPower Turbo con 510 CV de potencia de serie no era suficiente, AC Schnitzer se ha encargado de modificar el coche electrónicamente para lograr un incremento de 80 CV y llevarlo hasta los 590 CV con un par motor máximo de 750 Nm.

El preparador no ha especificado datos en cuanto a prestaciones, aunque con estas mejoras es fácil que el 0 a 100 km/h en 3,9 segundos que consigue el coche de serie se pueda ver rebajado al menos en un par de décimas.

Pasando al habitáculo, los cambios son los justos pero están muy acertados: el nuevo volante de cuero negro Nappa y alcántara negro es de lo más tentador. Las levas de mayor tamaño y los detalles cromados, junto a elementos como los pedales y reposapiés de aluminio, aportan mayor deportividad respecto al coche de serie para hacer juego con el exterior.

During the 2021 Essen Motorshow I have filmed the all new AC Schnitzer ACS3 SPORT, based on the BMW M3 G80.
AC Schnitzer has revealed a suite of upgrades it has developed for the G80 BMW M3 Competition. Its improvements add power, aero elements, suspension components and should get you moving in a hurry – both to the nearest distribution center and away from it.
First and foremost, the tuner has passed its magic wand over the M3 Competition’s straight-six engine to raise power from 503 hp (510 PS/375 kW) and 479 lb-ft (650 Nm) of torque all the way up to 582 hp (590 PS/434 kW) and 553 lb-ft (750 Nm) of torque. All of which also comes with a warranty of up to four years.
To hint at the extra power, AC Schnitzer has also added a sport exhaust system with two carbon “Sport” tailpipes on either side of the rear. Together they bring improved flow and better sound qualities at the same time.
The M3 Competition can also be lowered 15-20mm (0.5-078 inches) at the front. The suspension spring kit with RS coilovers makes both compression and rebound adjustable.
AC Schnitzer has been careful not to create a needlessly stiff suspension and says its motto has been “better fast than hard,” which is quite the mantra. It has led to a suspension that the company says has “good-natured load change reactions and gentle understeer at the limits.”
A front-splitter (which can be installed with no need for painting) increases downforce by as much as 40 kg (88 lbs) at 200 km/h (124 mph). Aero continues down the sides of the M3 with a four-piece deflector set for the front fenders, which are complemented by design elements on the hood.
At the back, meanwhile, a roof spoiler adds another 20 kg (44 lbs) of downforce. The combination of a rear diffusor, a new Carbon “Racing” rear wing that has a gurney flap makes another 70 kg (154 lbs) of downforce to keep you good and planted through the corners.
Keeping unsprung weight low, meanwhile, are the AC3 Lightweight Forged Wheels that are available in Silver/Anthracite or Anthracite/Silver and measure 10.0 J x 20 inches. The wheels can be fitted with 285/30 R 20 tires at the front and 295/30 R 20 tires at the back.
Inside, AC Schnitzer has designed its own steering wheel made of fine black Nappa leather and black Alcantara. Recessed grips offer a more comfortable place for the driver to rest their thumbs.
The tuner also offers bigger paddle shifters to make them easier to find. Aluminum pedals and footrests are joined by an aluminum keyholder and cover for the iDrive Controller to make the interior look sportier.

Para muchas personas, conducir un descapotable es una sensación especial de libertad. Si luego se le agrega una buena porción de rendimiento, rápidamente se convierte en un placer absoluto: esto es exactamente lo que promete el AC Schnitzer BMW M4 Cabrio (G83) , porque la compañía con sede en Aquisgrán tiene muchos de los tornillos de ajuste de la base de Garching, que ya están bien ubicados en el área de rendimiento, nuevamente giraron un poco más. El resultado es un descapotable afinado que también debería cumplir con las más altas exigencias de una experiencia de conducción intensa, y gracias a la tracción total altamente dinámica M xDrive, incluso si la mayoría de la gente no hablaría de "clima descapotable".

Manhart MH3 GTR Takes The BMW M3 Competition To 650 HP

It won’t be until later in 2023 when BMW will take the M3 to the next level with a more powerful CS special edition, but until then, you can count on tuners to give the super sedan a boost. Case in point, Manhart is introducing its MH3 GTR package for the G80 generation to unlock more power from the already potent S58 engine.

The twin-turbo, inline-six has been massaged to extract a healthy 140 hp for a grand total of 650 hp while the torque has gone up by 150 Nm (111 lb-ft) to 800 Nm (590 lb-ft). The significant bump in output was achieved by fitting Manhart’s MHtronik auxiliary control unit to the 3.0-liter engine. A stainless-steel exhaust system was also installed and comes along with quad tips measuring a beefy 100 millimeters in diameter with carbon or ceramic coating. Optionally, and only in markets where it’s legal to do so, the gasoline particulate filter can be deleted for a more aggressive soundtrack.




Manhart’s decision to name its aftermarket package “GTR” is somewhat controversial taking into account BMW actually made an ultra-rare M3 GTR homologation special as the only V8-powered E46. This modded G80 carrying such a special suffix has been tweaked furthermore as it rides closer to the road on a KW coilover suspension with H&R springs. The tuner’s own 20-inch wheels front and rear have replaced the OEM alloys and are shown here in satin black, but can optionally be ordered with gold accents.

Rounding off the tweaks on the outside are the front canards, trunk lid spoiler, and rear diffuser – all made from carbon fiber. The interior has also been subjected to an important change as it now has Podium full carbon bucket seats to give the M3 Sedan a bit of a CSL vibe. Expect the aforementioned M3 CS to have upgraded seats, but not as body-hugging as these Recaros.
