BMW G09 X8 / XM First Sighting!


The G09 X8 / XM has been spied!

Based on our future BMW models info thread, the XM will be BMW's halo high performance SUV, with M45e as the entry level model.

As of this month, the X8 had been renamed to XM, with the same model lineup as previously known: a 45e hybrid and two different gas engines.

Start of production is likely July 2022.

Se venderá. Últimamente los coches, cuanto más aspecto bestia y más se acercan al vehículo militar, mas gancho tienen. Aunque luego tengan pocas o ninguna cualidad como TT. el frontal del blanco que está al lado ya lo dice todo. Que tiempos aquellos en los que BMW era el equilibrio perfecto entre elegancia y deportividad pero con fiabilidad alemana.

Escuché por ahí que la mismísima Rolls Royce metió mano en el X7 para que el producto sea el que es interiormente............ sea el medio que sea, lo ponen por las nubes, tanto por calidad interior como de rodadura, cosa ya de por sí difícil en una pared con ruedas como es el X7, unas carácterísticas superiores a las de un serie 7 por ejemplo.

2022 BMW X8 / X8 M Spied in Detail, Hybrid Hides Strange Exhaust

In case you guys haven't noticed, the Bavarian automaker currently has every SUV model imaginable, from the X1 to the X7. However, they still came up with something new in the form of the X8, recently spied in detail while on a transit trailer.


While the X7 is currently the biggest model they offer, the family-focused 4x4 was perhaps not suited to the role of a flagship, especially given that it wasn't offered with an M powertrain. There have been rumors of an X7 M60i, but that would have come with a V12, whereas the X8 M is a new-age plug-in hybrid.

We'll reserve final judgment for when the X8 comes out, but this prototype does have some... unusual styling elements, even by BMW standards. The roof slopes towards the rear, but in a style usually seen on shooting brakes, not sports activity coupes. And at the front, the oversized grille has been matched to some peculiar headlights

The rumors about this vehicle date back to 2017, and almost as soon as it emerged for testing, we learned of its potential powertrain. The X8 M is reported to have 750 hp and 737 lb-ft (1000 Nm) from a combination of twin-turbo V8 and a 200 horsepower electric motor taken from the iNext.

While the carparazzi were able to get up-close and capture some details, including the undercarriage, the shots still raise a few questions. We're clearly dealing with a plug-in hybrid model, not only because of the "Hybrid Test Vehicle" stickers, but also the charging port on the front fender.

The exhaust layout is also somewhat indicative of a performance car, with large rectangular pipes likely hiding under the mesh at the back. However, these small brake disks still lead us to believe that it's a normal X8, perhaps one equipped with the 3-liter engine instead of a V8.

BMW X8 M Rendered based on latest spy shots

One of the biggest mysteries surrounding the future of the BMW brand is how the upcoming X8 model will pan out. We’ve been hearing some very interesting bits of information about it and we have to admit, we’re curious about it. The car has also been seen out testing, in prototype shape, and we can confirm it’s a rather big SUV. Not necessarily bigger than the X7, as the name would suggest, but definitely on the larger side of things.


We’re also not sure it’s going to be a Coupe-like SUV. The name suggests that but there hasn’t been any official confirmation of that yet. We also can’t rely on the spy shots we’ve seen, as car makers are known to fit extra panels to such prototypes to throw off of the scent. Therefore, the design still remains a mystery but the people from Kolesa decided to give it a try and create a rendering of the upcoming bespoke model.



As you can notice, the front end has a split-headlight design, with the turn signal light sitting above the headlight, separated somehow. Other than that, the front end mimics the X7 quite a bit, with a slightly redrawn set of kidney grilles and massive air intakes on the sides. Round the back we have a sloping roof line towards the back that may be considered along the lines what you might find on a “Coupe” SUV. The taillights seem to be a cross between the X2 and X6 models.



The specs of the upcoming model which might also be somewhere around 750 horsepower, in the upcoming BMW X8 M. According to our sources, this is supposed to be a halo M car, a model that will be built from the ground up entirely by the M Division, from the get go, something BMW has never done before. It’s odd they’d choose an SUV body for this first attempt but we our assumptions as to why the M Division might have made that decision and it has to do with SUV sales.

Uno de los mayores misterios que rodean el futuro de la marca BMW es cómo se desarrollará el próximo modelo X8 . Hemos estado escuchando información muy interesante al respecto y tenemos que admitir que tenemos curiosidad al respecto. El coche también ha sido probado en pruebas, en forma de prototipo, y podemos confirmar que es un SUV bastante grande. No necesariamente más grande que el X7, como sugiere el nombre, pero definitivamente en el lado más grande de las cosas.


Tampoco estamos seguros de que sea un SUV tipo Coupé. El nombre sugiere eso, pero aún no ha habido ninguna confirmación oficial de eso. Tampoco podemos confiar en las fotos espía que hemos visto, ya que se sabe que los fabricantes de automóviles colocan paneles adicionales en tales prototipos para eliminar el olor. Por lo tanto, el diseño sigue siendo un misterio, pero la gente de Kolesa decidió intentarlo y crear una representación del próximo modelo a medida.



Como puede notar, la parte delantera tiene un diseño de faro dividido, con la luz de la señal de giro colocada sobre el faro, separada de alguna manera. Aparte de eso, la parte delantera imita bastante al X7, con un conjunto de rejillas de riñón ligeramente rediseñadas y tomas de aire masivas en los lados. Alrededor de la parte trasera tenemos una línea de techo inclinado hacia la parte trasera que se puede considerar en la línea de lo que puede encontrar en un SUV “Coupé”. Las luces traseras parecen ser un cruce entre los modelos X2 y X6.



Las especificaciones del próximo modelo, que también podrían rondar los 750 caballos de fuerza, en el próximo BMW X8 M. Según nuestras fuentes , se supone que este es un automóvil halo M, un modelo que será construido desde cero en su totalidad por el División M, desde el principio, algo que BMW nunca ha hecho antes. Es extraño que eligieran una carrocería de SUV para este primer intento, pero tenemos nuestras suposiciones de por qué la División M podría haber tomado esa decisión y tiene que ver con las ventas de SUV.

El futuro BMW X8 M de 700 CV se vuelve a renderizar

El BMW X8 M será un automóvil M completamente hecho a medida, construido desde cero por la División M y no sobre la plataforma de ningún modelo BMW existente. El X8, el primero en la historia, está por llegar desde hace mucho tiempo, al igual que el X7. Para que apareciera el G07 X7, los bávaros tardaron más de 12 años en ofrecer una respuesta adecuada para la Clase GL / GLS de su archirrival Mercedes-Benz. Recientemente, han aparecido en Internet nuevas fotos espía del G09 X8.


Basándose en esas fotos espía, los artistas de renderizado se pusieron a trabajar para retratar cómo se vería el X8 M. Este último proviene de @ bmw43_ en Instagram y muestra un crossover masivo y audaz. La parrilla en forma de riñón es ciertamente más pequeña que en el X7, mientras que los icónicos faros tienen un diseño dividido con gráficos elegantes. El parachoques también vale el de un automóvil deportivo M, con dos grandes cortinas de aire. Además, el capó recuerda al del nuevo M3 / M4 .

Autorizado oficialmente en 2019, el BMW X8 M no será solo el modelo cupé del X7. Si el X5 y el X6 son bastante similares en la mayoría de los aspectos, aparte de la diferente línea del techo y la silueta, el próximo G99 X8 M está concebido para ser el pináculo de los modelos X, un vehículo premium adecuado y de alta conducción. Además, el futuro BMW X8 M es un golpe directo al rival de Stuttgart, que carece de competidor en este nicho exclusivo. Lo mismo ocurre con el Audi con sede en Ingolstadt, que solo vende el Q8 en la parte superior de su línea.





Esperamos que el interior tenga un aspecto elegante y exclusivo, dramáticamente diferente al del X7. Materiales más refinados, tapizados de cuero completo, nuevas pantallas digitales junto con una interfaz de sistema operativo posiblemente nueva (BMW Operating System 8.0) también podrían estar en camino de aparecer en el X8 M.


Los futuros modelos BMW X8 M podrían venir en dos versiones: la versión estándar, con una potencia de 460 kW / 625 PS (617 hp), y el X8 M Competition de gama alta, que se convertirá en el primer /// electrificado. Modelo M en la historia. El futuro X8 M Competition incluirá un tren motriz híbrido que combina un motor de gasolina V8 y una unidad eléctrica que, en conjunto, elevarán la potencia máxima hasta la asombrosa cifra de 552 kW / 750 CV (740 CV).

Future 700hp+ BMW X8 M gets rendered again


The BMW X8 M will be a completely bespoke M car, built from the ground up by the M Division and not on the platform of any existing BMW model. The first-in-history X8 is quite of a long-time coming, just like the X7. For the G07 X7 to appear, it took more than 12 years for the Bavarians to offer a proper answer for the GL-Class/GLS of arch-rival Mercedes-Benz. Recently, new spy shots of the G09 X8 have surfaced on the Internet.


Based on those spy shots, rendering artists got to work to portray what the X8 M might look like. This latest one comes from @bmw43_ on Instagram and showcases a massive and bold crossover. The kidney grille is certainly smaller than on the X7, while the iconic headlights feature a split design with sleek graphics. The bumper is also worth of an M sportscar, with two large air curtains. Furthermore, the hood is reminiscent of the one on the new M3/M4.

Officially greenlighted in 2019, the BMW X8 M won’t just be the coupe model of the X7. If the X5 and X6 are quite similar in most aspects apart from the different roofline and silhouette, the forthcoming G99 X8 M is conceived to be the pinnacle of X models, a proper, high-riding premium vehicle. Furthermore, the future BMW X8 M is a direct hit at the Stuttgart rival, which lacks any competitor in this upscale niche. Same goes for the Ingolstadt-based Audi which only sells the Q8 at the top of their lineup.


We expect inside a posh, upscale look inside, dramatically different than the one on the X7. More refined materials, full leather upholsteries, new digital screens together with a possibly new OS interface (BMW Operating System 8.0) could also be on track to appear on the X8 M.


The future BMW X8 M models could come in two flavors: the standard version, with an output of 460 kW / 625 PS (617 hp), and the upper-end X8 M Competition, which is set to become the first electrified ///M model in history. The future X8 M Competition will pack a hybrid powertrain combining a V8 petrol engine and an electric unit that together will raise the peak output up to staggering 552 kW / 750 PS (740 hp).
