Listed by casciomotors

This 2020 Mercedes-AMG GT R coupe is one of approximately 150 examples produced for the US market for the model year and is finished in Northern Lights Violet Metallic. It is powered by a twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V8 paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch transaxle and an electronically controlled limited-slip differential and has been modified with staggered-diameter HRE forged wheels and a Weistec Engineering ECU tune and downpipes. The car came optioned with the Pro package, which adds an adjustable coilover suspension and revised tuning for the dynamic engine mounts, transmission, and differential, as well as a carbon-fiber crossmember, roof panel, and aerodynamic elements. Additional equipment includes carbon-ceramic brakes, Distronic Active Distance Assist, a Burmester surround sound system, and the Lane Tracking, Convenience, and Exclusive Interior packages. This AMG GT R Pro has 9k miles and is offered by the selling dealer at no reserve with a battery tender, a VMI report, manufacturer’s literature, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Arizona title.

The car is finished in Northern Lights Violet Metallic (592) and features a fixed carbon-fiber rear wing. The Pro package adds a carbon-fiber roof panel, an enlarged front splitter with aluminum supports, fender vents, and a larger rear diffuser when compared with the standard GT R. Additional exterior equipment includes LED headlights with active high-beam assist and power folding mirrors with carbon-fiber housings and AMG logo projectors. Paint protection film has reportedly been applied to the body.

Deep Purple Mercedes-AMG GT R Pro Laden With Carbon Looks Near Perfect

OCTOBER 16, 2022

A particularly bold 2020 Mercedes-Benz AMG GT R Pro has just hit the used car market and is one of the best-looking examples that we’ve come across.

The supercar has been listed up for sale on Bring a Trailer with ~9,000 miles (~14,481 km) under its belt and comes at no reserve with a battery tender, a VMI report, manufacturer’s literature, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Arizona title.

Making the car stand out from most other Mercedes-AMG GT models we’ve seen is the Northern Lights Violet Metallic exterior finish which we think looks superb. As this is a GT R Pro variant, it also has a plethora of exposed carbon fiber parts, including the roof, front splitter, fender vents, and enlarged rear diffuser.

While we think the standard wheels would have looked great alongside the purple paint, the previous owner has fitted it with bronze-finished HRE P104 forged wheels measuring 19-inches at the front and 20-inches at the rear and wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires. The listing notes the car also has rear-axle steering and the optional AMG High-Performance Ceramic Composite Braking System.

A look inside the cabin of the car reveals power-adjustable and heated AMG Performance seats clad in a combination of black Nappa leather with Dinamica synthetic suede inserts and yellow contrast stitching. It also rocks a steering wheel trimmed in Dinamica with a yellow center stripe.

Found beneath the massive hood of the car is a 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine that, in stock form, is good for 577 hp at 6,250 rpm and 516 lb-ft (700 Nm) of torque at 5,500 rpm. However, the seller notes that it has been tuned by Weistec Engineering and has aftermarket downpipes. Grunt is sent to the rear wheels through a seven-speed AMG Speedshift dual-clutch transmission.
