Posted: Thu Feb 01, 2007 5:03 pm Post subject: Well done. Many people have expressed their discomfort and dislike with the pirelli tyres. You have to do what yo have to do if you are not happy. If BMW is not prepared to listen then you can only do one thing: take your business elsewhere.

There is a very interesting thread on the spanish forum where people are recording their issues with the wear on RFT to make a common front against BMW as the situation is not acceptable. BTW, my pirellis were in an appalling state when I removed them from my car. Never seen tyres like that on any of the car I owned before.

I was at Elms BMW Bishops Stortford today getting my creaky vents sorted (BMW will replace under warranty!) and I mentioned run-flats.

They have confirmed and I'm waiting for a fax, that BMW now acknowledge run-flats can be replaced on the 1 series and it will not invalidate the warranty etc. Normal Tyre's can be used but may have different profiles to suit the rims. As soon as I get the fax I'll host the information.

To support this statement still further BMW have released the 1 Series Mobility Kit, its £63.83 + Vat and part No

"PN72486 UG32 1 'E87 5 Doors 118d ECE R N 71_0434 Tyre Mobility Set"

I think this is great news as I need for tyres and did not do the deal on the 120d Auto so I can find out how my car handles with normal tyres on.

j*der identificarse.:rolleyes: Si es que hasta el nick es el mismo en los dos foros. :err: Voy y vuelvo a Espana mucho y aprovecho para enterarme de lo que pasa en los dos lados.
El kit de pinchazos esta disponible hace mucho para el resto de la gama BMW y ahora lo venden para la serie 1. El kit es el mismo asi que so lo quereis comprar ya lo venden el en conce aunque sea para la serie 6 es el mismo.
En alemania lo venden por €75 en ebay y yo estoy mirando un par de ellos de segunda mano aunque sin usar para el mini que son tambien iguales.

No, no se pierde. El problema es que muchas veces los conces se asustan y para cubrirse las espaldas se inventan cualquier cosa. Este tio que postea en el foro ingles pregunto directamante al servicio al cliente de BMW. Estos le confirmaron que no hay problema.

Tengo unas 142 con neumaticos normales nuevos pero este invierno he llevado unas 140 con RFT. En cuanto salga el sol meto las 140 al trastero y saco las 142 con los neumaticos normales a ver como van.
