Video Porsche 911 GT2 RS: 3.8 H6 twin turbo 700cv (Nurburgring 6:47.3)

In 911R es mas in RS sin aleron....que el GT3 Touring...Amen de ser edicion limitada y demas. Tendra su Mercado...no lo podran vender por 400mil...pero desde luego lo venderan por mucho mas de lo que les costo.

Desde luego, si pudiera, el coche que compraria ahora mismo seria in GT3 Touring...sin dudarlo.

Joe, pues todas las pruebas que he leído sobre el 911R afirman que lleva TODOS los elementos del GT3 (salvo los 500 cv). Carrocería (salvo difusor, obviamente), llantas, frenos, todos los elementos de la suspensión...

 

Yo casi que lo veo mejor al revés.

Con un Performante también me vale.

 

Pues esta mañana he visto un GT3 Touring Package negro al lado del Bernabéu. Y un amigo tiene uno en blanco.
Absolutamente precioso.

La verdad es que está entre medio. Pero el motor es el del RS

 

Christian Gebhardt de sport auto ha hecho 6:58" cambiando el asiento por uno Cup con arnes multipunto, recordad que Porsche tiene el record del ring en 6:47"

El GT2 RS de Manthey Racing haciendo Spa en 2:31, le han cambiado suspensión y frenos, asiento Recaro P130GT, pack aero y Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 N2.
El Koenigsegg One:1 1.360 cv lo hizo en 2:32.14

 

Y eso que el cayman le frena en zona rapida...

Homenaje a Moby Dick, no es vinilo, va pintado






The Martini design is painted onto the GT2 RS' body; it's not a vinyl wrap.
Porsche Retail Group GB has created a one-off example of the 911 GT2 RS that wears the classic Martini racing livery with a white body and array of red and blue stripes. The style pays tribute to the classic 935/78 race car "Moby Dick." Given the popularity of the Martini paint job on Porsches, it's surprising that this is the first GT2 RS we are seeing in the classic color scheme.

According to Porsche Retail Group GB, this isn't just a simple vinyl wrap over a new GT2 RS. The company takes the time and expense to actually paint this complicated pattern onto the car. An immense amount of effort would be necessary to mask the various sections of the vehicle for applying each color. There are also custom side sills showing the silhouette of the Moby Dick, and 1978 references the year of the Porsche's competition use.

Moby Dick earned its name from the whale-like tail that Porsche incorporated into the 935 race car's rear. The additional bodywork lowered the vehicle's drag for optimizing the top speed, especially at Le Mans. At the 24-hour race in France, it was able to hit 227 miles per hour (365 kilometers per hour) down the straights. In '78, Moby Dick won the 6 Hours of Silverstone and was eighth overall at Le Mans.

The modern GT2 RS offers impressive performance, too. It has a 3.8-liter biturbo flat six with 690 horsepower (515 kilowatts) and 553 pound-feet (750 Newton-meters) of torque. The ample power lets the coupe reach 60 mph (96 kph) in 2.7 seconds and achieve a top speed of 211 mph (340 kph).

Porsche's marketing team makes sure that no one forgets the brand's success in motorsport. For example, the company raced a pair of retro-themed 911 RSRs at the 2018 24 Hours of Le Mans – one in the Pink Pig livery and another in a Rothmans-inspired look. They scored first and second in their class, respectively.

Harris prueba el GT2 RS de Manthey Racing en el circuito de Portimao, batiendo los tiempos que hizo con LaFerrari, McLata P1 y Porsche 918.
Recordemos que este cangrejo tiene el record de Nurburgring en 6:40.3



You may remember back in November that a Manthey Racing-tuned Porsche 911 GT2 RS broke the lap record of the Nurburgring with a jaw-dropping 6:40.3, beating cars like the Lamborghini Aventador SVJ and the McLaren P1 LM by nearly five and over three seconds respectively.


Well, this is the very same car and Chris Harris had the chance to drive it at the Portimao circuit, the same track where he set lap times with the McLaren P1, the LaFerrari and the Porsche 918 Spyder a few years ago.

The MR Performance kit for the 911 GT2 RS leaves the 700hp turbocharged engine and transmission untouched and instead focuses on aero, suspension, wheels and tires. Manthey Racing, which is mostly owned by Porsche, has installed a KW coilover suspension that’s basically the same as the GT3 R racer, the brakes feature better pads and new lines and a set of lightweight magnesium wheels.

The 911 GT2 RS MR also has a lot more aero compared to the standard car. Manthey Racing added new endplates on the rear wing along with a different splitter, underbody panels and rear diffuser. Combined, these elements make a big difference compared to the standard GT2 RS on the track, and that shows on the insane lap times the MR can pull.

Harris was able to lap Portimao with the 911 GT2 RS MR 2.5 seconds quicker than his personal best in a McLaren P1 on Trofeo R tires, 4.5 seconds quicker than a Porsche 918 Spyder and 4.7 seconds over a LaFerrari when he tested them back in 2015.

 

Persiguiendo a un BMW 130i preparado para circuito, 350 cv, slick... el GT2 RS lleva copi y las gomas muertas, pero eso no quita para ver como vuela en curvas el 130i

 

Como va el 130 no?

Aún con la enorme ventaja de los slicks, el coche va de fábula y el piloto es eso...piloto.

 

Si, tiene buenas manos y va como un tiro, se ve que lo han vaciado y preparado bien para circuito con jaula, suspension..., es una pena que el GT2 RS llevara las ruedas muertas y no pudiera apretarle un poco más al 130i que habría estado más entretenido, aquí va el día anterior con las Cup2 R nuevas

 

Antes puse el vídeo de Randy Pobst haciendo el record del circuito de Road Atlanta en 1:24.88, pues ahora con el GT3 RS ha hecho el segundo mejor tiempo con 1:26.24

 

200 cv más, más de un 50% más caro... Y todo para rebajar 1.5 segundos. Me vale con el 3, que además estira mucho más y suena MUCHÍSIMO mejor.

 

Claro que suena mejor el H6 atmosférico que el turbo, la diferencia de segundo y medio en un circuito tan pequeño no es tan poca, en Nurburgring ya le saca 9 segundazos, aún así a mi que me den un GT3 touring manual y sin alerón, que no voy buscando la décima
