Preparando un M3 para el Ring

Yo que tu Gus, no metia el coche propio si eres de los que te calientas, mas que nada porque en la Nordschleife los errores son siniestro total con posibles lesiones graves.
Yo estuve este verano en el Oldtimer Grand Prix y lo que hice fue ir en avión y alquilar un Nissan 350Z/Chrysler Crossfire (a mi me toco crossfire porque no habia apra todos) y le saqué las tripas al pobre diablo. Sin contemplaciones. Como no era mio.
Con mi coche no hubiera hecho eso.

Era un tio buenisimo.... Con coches en algun caso inferiores como el caso de cuando iba con una Ascona 400 contra los todopoderosos Audi Quattro de la epoca....

Un monstruo del volante

Walter Röhrl es uno de los mejores pilotos del mundo.

No solo ha sido campeon del mundo de Rallys dos veces, si no que ha ganado Montecarlo no se cuantas veces y la ultima con un Lancia 037 de propulsion cuando ya habia 4x4s! Tambien Dakar, el Nurburgring es el pasillo de su casa y la primera vez que subió el Pikes Peak hizo scratch y record aun no superado! Ha corrido Le Mans no se cuantas veces (con J. Hans Stuck de compañero, por cierto)

Actualmente es Jefe de Pruebas y relaciones publicas de Porsche y responsable de la puesta a punto final del Carrera GT.

Es un mito, como Jimmy Clark, Fangio, Senna, Schumacher, Stirling Moss, Lauda, Stuck y demas monstruos del motor.

Just wanted to let you know what we are doing.

The story is something like this…
During winter 2003 we started to rebuild a stock 2001 M3 into a racecar. The mission was to compete in VLN on the Nürburgring. Everything was ripped out, the engine was tuned by Kelleners Sport to ~380 hp, suspension was changed to Bilstein, carbon fiber part were installed ad so on. 2004 we did a couple of races and also crashed a couple of times. ](*,)

So for the 2005 season we wanted to do it for real. A body-in-white was ordered from BMW Motorsport and parts were supposed to be moved from the old car to the new. But as some of you might know, things easily get out of hands. A lot of new stuff was bought and now we practically have built a new car. 120 liter fuel tank, air jacks, carbon fiber roof from CSL and so on.

Since were not aiming for second place in class we also wanted to do something about the engine). Ralf Kelleners got his hands on some realy cool stuff that PTG used in ALMS. They stroked the S54 to 3.4 liters and got ~420 hp. I’m not sure were we will end up, but last thing I heard from Kelleners was 404 hp. And that wasn’t with race headers and race exhaust. I’m guessing 410-415 hp in the end for us.

I understand the word "piston" here. :)

That piston is not from our car. It's not even from a BMW. I'ts from a Super Touring Opel Vectra. Not sure what happened, but it doesen't look good. :roll:

Pistón fundido, y segmentos no muy grandes, con lo que parece ser que va a modificar cilindro¡' todo ello para colocar las bielas que se ha pillado, pistón fundido y de mayor diametro para conseguir más compresión= potencia

se ha pillado un conjunto de bielas y ahora modifica todo para montarlas

CI en la KDD Gallega te contare algo del Rholl..aqui en Portugal estuve con el en el Estoril Sol..y en las pruebas k hacia Audi con los Quattro aqui muy cerquita..de la frontera :angel: . Un tio enrrollado y uno de los mejores pilotos . Slds
