EXTERIOR
Striking from every angle, the sweeping form of the Carrera GT is one of the most iconic shapes of its time, and finished in a Paint To Sample shade of Dark Olive Metallic this example is truly a sight to behold. Initially appearing as an almost solid black, the deep metallic flake flickers to a vibrant green as the intensity of light changes around the Carrera GT’s purposeful curves. Contrasting the gorgeous green bodywork sit flashes of exposed carbon fibre around the front and rear bumpers, whilst satin silver details across the semi exposed engine bay and intakes lift the dark finish to create a perfectly balanced feel to car.
Extending at speeds of over 75mph, the retractable rear spoiler generates huge downforce without disrupting the Porsche’s perfect lines, stabilising the cars carbon monocoque chassis for race car levels of performance.
Fully repainted by Porsche in this stunning paint to sample shade, the condition of this Carrera GT is impeccable; with full PPF applied before the car was driven on the road the paintwork is fully protected and so presents in showroom condition.
INTERIOR
Perfectly complementing the cars stunning Paint to Sample finish the cabin of the Carrera GT is upholstered in a beautiful Ascot brown leather, with black hide and yellow contrast stitching detailing the space. Opening the doors reveals the exposed carbon fibre of the monocoque and inner doors, leading to the stunning aluminium pedals, switchgear and fascias which create a very premium feel to this stripped back supercar. Full carbon fibre bucket seats offer a superb balance of comfort and weight saving, with their contoured shape offering superb hold and cushioning
Tonal yellow seat belts stand out from the brown tones of the interior, highlighting the complexity of the carbon weave behind them, whilst a traditional balsa wood gear knob bring a touch of Porsche heritage to this otherwise modern space, referencing the Le Mans-winning Porsche 917 of the early 1970s.
ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
Opening the rear engine compartment reveals a visual treat, the V10 sat pride of place and cocooned in the carbon fibre monocoque chassis, pushrod actuated suspension and air intake scoops make up an engineering masterpiece. The engine bay is clean and the mid-mounted normally-aspirated all-alloy V-10 engine on this example is immaculate, fitted with double overhead camshafts, variable valve timing, titanium connecting rods and a dry-sump oil system ensuring reliable and consistent oil supply and pressure. Twinned with a traditional 6-speed manual gearbox with racing-type three-plate carbon clutch it is a potent and very mechanical combination and experience, allowing jaw-dropping acceleration and a top track speed of over 200 mph.
Mechanically this Carrera GT is in excellent order, fresh back from a major service at Porsche Reading.
WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES
Staggered alloys created the incredible stance of the Carrera GT, with 19″ at the front and 20″ at the rear creating a subtle but menacing squat at the front end. Fully forged the wheels feature anodised centre lock nuts, with blue on the right and red on the left side, adding to the race car inspired feel of the car. Wheels remain in superb condition all around, wearing brand new N rated Michelin Pilot Super Sport tyres at each corner.
Showing through the spokes are the Porsche branded yellow Monoblock callipers that signify the Porsche Ceramic Composite Brake (PCCB) system fitted to the car, offering astonishing stopping power and a substantial weight saving over their steel counterparts.
