1963-1965
First BMW ALPINA's - BMW 1500 ALPINA
it is commonly accepted that a BMW 1500 from 1962 has been the first Alpina tuned car but there were also cars of other brands tuned;​


next year - in 1963, Burkard Bovensiepen, son of Dr. Rudolf Bovensiepen (founder of Alpina office machines firm) developed a tuning kit with dual Weber carburetors, which dramatically improved performances of then very popular in Germany BMW 1500, the kit price was 980 DM; later the kit for BMW 1800 has been also issued;
Alpina Cars firm has been officially established on January 1, 1965 and since Alpina tuning kits were certified by BMW therefore they were not making the BMW factory guarantee invalid

the Alpina tuned BMW 1600-2 was the first car badged as Alpina, it had a 2L engine from BMW 2000ti, with two Weber carburetors resulting in 165 hp, the car also had a 12V electric system (1600 had still a 6V) and ventilated disc brakes​

Alpina fue fundada por su Presidente, Burkard Bovensiepen, (nacido en 1936), y empezó sus actividades en 1965 con la fundación de Burkard Bovensiepen KG en Kaufbeuren en la provincia de Baviera, al sur de Alemania. El nombre inicial se debe al Doctor Rudolf Bovensiepen, su padre, cuyo objetivo empresarial era la fabricación de maquinaria de oficina (máquinas de escribir).
Aunque Alpina empezó produciendo máquinas de escribir, la Alpina original dejó de existir a finales de los años 1960 en su tentativa de dirigirse a la industria textil.
En 1965, tras haber obtenido grandes beneficios a través de sus inversiones en bolsa, Burkard estableció un negocio de tuning de coches BMW en los antiguos locales de la fábrica de máquinas de escribir de Alpina. La empresa se especializó inicialmente en la optimización de carburadores y revisión de culatas.
En 1970, la empresa ya tenía 70 empleados, y se trasladó de Kaufbeuren a Buchloe.
Entre 1968 y 1977, los coches de Alpina obtuvieron grandes resultados en competición. Su éxito más sonado fue cuando los coches del equipo Alpina ganaron el Campeonato Europeo de Turismos, con German Hillclimb como campeón, también tuvieron mucho éxito en los Rallyes y en las 24 horas de Spa.
A finales de los años 1970 Alpina fue reconocida por TÜV (el equivalente a la ITV alemana) como fabricante de automóviles, los coches construidos por Alpina son inscritos y registrados como Alpina en lugar de BMW, no obstante, un coche Alpina puede ser comprado y revisado en los distribuidores locales de BMW, y también están cubiertos durante el periodo de garantía.

A mi me encantan esos Alpina en los que nada dice que lo sean, ni pegatinas, ni logos... como mucho uno encima de un magnifico motor superpotenciado.

Jajajajaja, tranquilo que en eso no la voy a liar, me gusta dejar el coche original como viene de fabrica o al menos casi todo jeje. Ahora le he puesto unos cromados a los espejos que le quedan de miedo.

en las carcasas o en el recuadro interior,los epejos de e38 son con marco negro verdad y la tapadera del color de coche no???no son como los de e32
