Audi RS Q8 (2020) | Información general

Es la versión más potente y con mejores prestaciones de la gama Q8 y una alternativa a modelos como el BMW X6 M, el Maserati Levante Trofeo, el Porsche Cayenne Turbo Coupé o el Lamborghini Urus (listado de SUV y todoterrenos con motor de más de 550 CV).

Tiene el mismo motor de gasolina que Audi emplea en los RS 6 Avant y RS 7 Sportback, es decir, uno de gasolina turboalimentado de ocho cilindros en uve que desarrolla 600 CV y 800 Nm de par. La caja de cambios es una automática de convertidor de par y ocho relaciones, mientras que la tracción es en las cuatro ruedas. Según Audi, el RS Q8 es capaz de acelerar de 0 a 100 km/h en 3,8 segundos y alcanzar una velocidad máxima limitada de 250 km/h (de serie) o 305 km/h (cuando lleva instalados los frenos cerámicos opcionales).






De serie, el RS Q8 tiene una suspensión neumática con un ajuste específico y capacidad para modificar la altura de la carrocería, unas barras estabilizadoras activas (unos motores a 48 V modifican la resistencia a la torsión de las mismas), un diferencial trasero deportivo (distribuye la fueza que llega a cada una de las ruedas del eje posterior) y control vectorial de par (mejora el paso por curva utilizando los frenos de manera selectiva). Las llantas pueden ser de hasta 23 pulgadas de diámetro.

Como en el resto de versiones de la gama Q8, el RS Q8 tiene un selector de modos de conducción denominado Audi drive select. A los habituales confort, auto, dynamic, allroad y offroad, Audi ha añadido otros dos personalizables llamados RS1 y RS2. Todos ellos modifican el funcionamiento del motor, la caja de cambios, la suspensión, la climatización e incluso el sonido del motor.

Además de por los cambios mecánicos, el RS Q8 se distingue del resto de versiones de la gama Q8 porque tiene unos parachoques y parrilla específicos (imagen), unas llantas con un diseño exclusivo y un alerón en la parte final del techo que además genera carga aerodinámica sobre el eje posterior cuando circula a alta velocidad (Audi no proporciona más datos al respecto). En el habitáculo los cambios son muy pequeños: molduras decorativas específicas, emblemas con las siglas RS en diversos lugares (respaldos de los asientos delanteros o umbrales de las puertas, por ejemplo) y una instrumentación con menús específicos en los que se muestra la potencia entregada por el motor, los tiempos por vuelta en circuito, las fuerzas G, la presión de los neumáticos o la temperatura del aceite del motor.

Todos los nombrados para vosotros, yo no tengo que hacer mudanzas, ni llevar una prole a cuestas, ni hacer compras compulsivas en los cenutrios comerciales... así que a mi dame algo más bajo de 1,40 y que no pase de tonelada y media biggrin

que mania los diseñadores de todas las marcas con poner parrillas delanteras con nido de abeja que para mi son feisimas, y cutres para un coche de ese nivel.

Audi has launched its own rival to the Lamborghini Urus, the new RS Q8. Not only are both of these models very similar (both from a mechanical and visual standpoint), but they are also sold by the same parent company.

Both cars also ride on the VW group MLBevo platform, both are powered by a 4-liter twin-turbo V8 and they address pretty much the same type of buyer. The engine is the same unit (albeit with more power in the case of the Lambo), a mill shared with the Porsche Cayenne and Panamera, as well as the Bentley Continental V8 and Flying Spur V8.

The Urus is the more powerful vehicle of the two, with 640 horsepower versus Audi’s 591 horsepower, and it has some extra torque too - 850 Nm (627 pound-feet) versus 800 Nm (590 pound feet). And this obviously has an effect on performance, since the two vehicles weigh roughly the same.


The Lamborghini has a claimed sprint time from standstill to 100 km/h (62 mph) 3.6 seconds and its top speed is 305 km/h (189.5 mph). The Audi RS Q8, with its lower output V8, takes a little longer to accelerate, completing the benchmark sprint in 3.8 seconds, but it’s actually a tiny bit faster at the top end - it can reach 306 km/h (190 mph).

As previously stated, these two vehicles also look pretty similar too. From the side, the Lamborghini does have a more aggressive shape to its greenhouse (whereas that of the RS Q8 looks more practically minded and also offers superior outward visibility) and its roofline is also much more steeply sloped towards the rear.

The Lambo also looks more like a fastback than the Audi - from the side, at least, it’s clearly the sportier looking of the two.

Move your perspective to a front three-quarter view, though, and the Lambo’s more rakish profile is less evident. From this angle, the Audi looks more aggressive thanks to its more pronounced blistered wheel arches, its in-your-face grille, and those unique RS side skirts.


Before actually starting to compare photos and assessing the differences, I honestly thought it was already a foregone conclusion that the Lambo will look like the sportier vehicle from every angle, and I was actually quite surprised that this just isn’t so. Had we been comparing the SQ8 and the Urus, it would have been the Lambo that would have won based on how sporty it looked, but the changes Audi has made to this RS Q8 really do change it dramatically.

From a rear three-quarter perspective, there really is no contest between the Lambo and Audi. The RS Q8 is undeniably sportier looking than the SQ8, but it can’t match the Urus’ even bolder shapes. The Lambo looks meaner and more hunkered down, more planted, while the Q8 appears to have been designed with a bit more practicality in mind - there is a big difference between the size of the rear side windows between the two cars.

Overall, while there is a big difference in sporty look between the SQ8 and RS Q8 (plus the fact that from the front, I think it’s the Audi that actually looks like the more imposing, more aggressive vehicle), the Urus remains the most aggressive looking SUV on sale right now. It’s also got a slight performance and exclusivity edge over the Audi, and even if it’s around 20 percent more expensive, the extra cred of having a Lambo badge will be worth it for many buyers looking to spend in this segment.






At the same time, you can look at the RS Q8 as a slightly cheaper and more practical version of the Urus, that isn’t noticeably slower and it will be as impressive nine times out of ten. So for that reason, I think the Audi ends up being the more desirable vehicle of the two, even with the undeniable extra appeal of having a raging bull badge on your super SUV’s hood.

Dado el tamaño de los orificios, podríamos hablar de nidos de palomas o golondrinas.

Unos frontales regargados de rejillas y apendices cutres, no hace falta tanta perafernalia, mira el morro del Ferrari F40 o del Lambo aventador, y eso es un morro bonito.

No hay de qué :guiño:, yo prefiero de Audi un RS6 frutero y de Lambo un Huracan Spider :devil:

Hace poco hablaba justo de ésto con unos amigos.

En dos/tres años el RS6 C7 estará a precio: momento de actuar cual carroñero a la busca y captura de una buena unidad :LOL:. Así está escrito en los objetivos junto a un Macan GTS (uno u otro). Tengo una experiencia tan buena con el S6 que creo que es uno de los mejores coches "familiares:devil:" que se puede disfrutar

Urus, Audi y Porsche, por ese orden. El resto de mamotrecos no me "molan". Aunque la opción de un Rs6+ pepino también me parece muy acertada.
