Bienvenido al futuro de los vehículos eléctricos de BMW. BMW Gallery presenta el 2022 i4 Gran Coupé totalmente eléctrico y el crossover iX 2022. La marca i se introdujo cuando BMW lanzó el i3 y el i8 en 2013. Esos dos productos se han mejorado y actualizado con el tiempo, pero esta es la primera vez en casi una década que productos completamente nuevos de la marca i han salido al mercado. . BMW está en camino de electrificar la mayoría de sus productos con capacidad híbrida enchufable, como el X3 30e y 530e, entre otros, pero la marca i lleva las cosas aún más lejos. El futuro del transporte personal será eléctrico y BMW se está adelantando a la curva con estos dos productos emocionantes.
El i4 se basa en el Gran Coupé Serie 4 con una batería de iones de litio de 84 kWh debajo del piso. BMW afirma que el rango del i4 alcanzará los 590 km, con la capacidad de agregar 164 km en 10 minutos con un cargador de nivel 3. El estilo del i4 puede ser similar al de la versión con motor de combustión interna del Serie 4 Gran Coupé, pero el i4 se separa con una parrilla distintiva, un difusor trasero y, si está disponible, los acentos de color exterior en Azul Eléctrico. El i4 y el iX cuentan con una nueva pantalla curva. Emparejamiento de la pantalla táctil central junto con el grupo de instrumentos digitales detrás del volante. Ambas pantallas crean una nueva experiencia perfecta con una nueva actualización de software con iDrive 8. Mat’s got his hands on this all-new M EV and he’s taking it on a test across Germany to see if it can really go toe-to-toe with some of BMW’s best petrol-powered performance cars.
Want to know the basics? Well for starters, there’s no denying that the i4 looks seriously impressive & can easily match up to the M3 in the style stakes. The interior is equally just as nice, but then again, it’s no surprise given it’s built on the same platform as the M3.
As for performance, well the i4 M50 can once again match up to the M3, delivering a power output of 544hp & 795Nm of torque - both of which are increases compared to its petrol-powered compatriot!

Back in June, 2021, we were invited to California to sample an early production BMW i4 prototype. At the time, no specs nor the model name were shared with us, but it was clearly evident that I was driving the highest performance i4 there is.
Fast forward a few months later and BMW was ready to lift off the veil of their i4 M50. Only this time around, I was invited to its birthplace – Munich – to test the i4 through a variety of different scenarios.
While the BMW iX I tested the day before was positioned as a comfortable and luxurious electric crossover, the BMW i4 M50 takes a different approach. BMW engineers in charge of the i4 project mention countless hours of work to prove that “Sheer Driving Pleasure” slogan can live on with BMW electric cars.
But how can BMW ensure its customers have the driving experience and performance they expect in a car with a roundel on it and no combustion engine?

El BMW i4 M50 es un vehículo que se puede disfrutar con todos los sentidos, gracias en parte a los BMW i4 Iconic Sounds desarrollados por Hans Zimmer, el legendario músico de Hollywood, que le ha dado una banda sonora que responde en sincronía con la aceleración, el frenado y las condiciones de la carretera, sobre todo cuando se usa el modo de manejo Sport Boost.
Como todos los autos eléctricos, el i4 M50 pone a disposición del conductor todo el poder eléctrico de los 536 caballos de fuerza y hasta 586 libras de torsión por pie lineal en cuanto se pisa el pedal del acelerador, gracias la 5ta. generación del sistema eDrive, para hacer el 0 a 60 millas por hora en 3.9 segundos.
La velocidad máxima - electrónicamente regulada -, es de 118 millas por hora, que alcanzamos sin ningún problema en los tramos sin límites de velocidad del Autobahn alrededor de Munich.
La energía es proporcionada por la 5ta. generación de la tecnología eDrive, que combina los motores eléctricos, la electrónica de potencia, el sistema de carga y la batería de alto voltaje. El motor eléctrico, la electrónica de potencia y la transmisión comparten una carcasa compacta, mientras que la batería de alto voltaje mide solo 4,3 pulgadas de altura y está montada en el piso, lo que le da un centro de gravedad bajo para mejorar la agilidad del vehículo.
