So I figured why only live in the single digit M land... I sourced this M8 GC CE for a superb price and grabbed it (slightly used with 1700 miles). It was not or ever will be my first color choice as black drives me crazy but when its clean; its fucking clean. The interior was also not my pick up front but its growing on me. I will say after some minor mods the car really is good visually. From a driving perspective, it moves well and handles great for car with such heft and length. As Ive read, its the widest BMW of all cars they make. Its a nice offset to the F90 M5 I had (sold it) with its much longer frame and wheelbase. The stability is there no doubt but so is the ever so slight change in handling. I did use the KW HAS system this time which is a dramatic improvement over the M550i H&R springs I lowered my F90 on. The compression and rebound brings back fond memories of my first M- the E39 M5. It soaks up the undulations much better while also giving a visual change for the better IMHO. Here are the minor mods and nothing bold but just minor things to change it up. r33_RGSport Ben is just great- favorable pricing, service, and he is just a good guy always willing to accommodate. He moved his schedule around to do this plus made numerous adjustments to ensure the drop was good. KW for some odd reason doesnt allow a much more pronounced drop on the F93. Its fine but I could use a few more mm's. KW HAS- maxed out but still just a bit high for me but Ill live Reflectors front and rear- wrapped with gloss vinyl (quick fix) H&R Spacers- 18mm Front, 12mm Rear Race Chip- took from my F90 M5 and reprogrammed for the CE F93 supremepower Eric, Kim, Will- what can I say as Ive been going to Eric since 2001 for all things from aesthetics to power gains. He most recently did my R8 with exhaust and drop as well. His spacers have become my go to for so many cars (over 20) but he was out of the 18mm and Ben had them in stock. I called him Tuesday and he too made scheduling changes so I could drop off the car Wednesday and pick it up Friday. Service, Pricing, and utter convenience. He is my main mod guy. Caliper Painting- I just went off the deep end here since red is now OEM. He even smoothed out the rears which have so much orange peel. I think yellow on black is rather cool. Wheel Powder Coating- we went with gloss since the car is so glossy in general. I really like the "nasty" look here even though some will say black is played out. I am happy. Other stuff done by randoms: Exhaust- I had the center resonator pulled- I gained alot of decibels and just more sound which I wanted. A simple job that is easily reversed. If you are in the OC- see the Muffler Man in Placentia. Tint- some cool guy came to my house- 35% ceramic Cell phone pics: Flatter ground pics Shit Sun Pic
