This powertrain makes the new mid-engined Corvette the most powerful Stingray of all time. The standard sprint from 0-100 km/ is done in 3.5 seconds and top speed is 296 km/h.
Recommended retail prices for the individually configurable models start at €86,900 in Germany and in the UK at £74,200.

• The wait for the European versions of the new mid-engine Corvette Stingray came to an end.
The new Corvette was available for European customers in October of 2021.
The very first customers received their launch edition coupes and convertibles while sportscar enthusiasts who have not yet placed their order can as of now specify their individual Corvette version tailored to their preferences.
They can choose between two trim levels and more exterior and interior options than ever before on any previous Corvette generation.
And for the first time in Corvette’s history, customers in the UK can get their factory-built coupe or convertible with the steering wheel on the right side.

Sales across the sports car segment are down, but Chevrolet still managed to shift over 8,500 Corvettes

That’s right, the Detroit carmaker sold a total of 8,576 Corvettes in the first three months of 2024, marking an 8.5 percent increase compared to the same period a year earlier. Surprisingly, this made it the fourth-best performing sports car in America, outperforming all BMW 4-Series sales, including the coupe, convertible, and four-door Gran Coupe. We reached out to the Bavarian carmaker for further insights, but they declined to break down sales of the model by body style or trim for us.
What makes that statistic even more impressive is that, although the Corvette can be had for a reasonable price when you take into consideration everything it offers, Chevy brings in an average of six figures on every example it sells. According to Corvette Blogger, the average transaction price (ATP) in the fourth quarter of 2023 was over $106,000.
By contrast, the most expensive Supra that Toyota offers is the 45th Anniversary Edition model that starts at $65,275, and comes with nearly no options to drive the price up farther. Despite this, Toyota only managed to sell 484 units of its BMW-based sports cars last quarter, barely exceeding 5 cars per day, compared to the Corvette’s daily average of 95 units sold!
What’s also impressive about the Corvette’s performance is that Q1 wasn’t a particularly good month for sports cars. While there are, admittedly, still some pretty big hitters yet to hear from — like Porsche, Mercedes, Maserati, and Lamborghini — sales among the automakers who have published their reports weren’t great.
The Corvette was the only model among the top five best-selling sports cars whose sale improved as compared to the Q1 2023. Segment-wide, sales were down 14 percent, based on available data.
All the same, the Ford Mustang is still America’s best-selling sports car, topping the charts with 13,707 units in Q1. So far, it’s the only model to have crested the five-digit mark, and the second-place (dearly departed) Dodge Challenger comes in at number two, with 9,737 having left the showroom floor. The entire range of the BMW 4-Series finishes the quarter in third place with 8,847 sales, and the Chevrolet Camaro (also getting the axe) finished in fifth.
