ALPINE'S PREMIERE EDITION NOW AVAILABLE FOR EARLY RESERVATION
First deliveries are planned for late 2017.
Alpine is now officially taking orders for the
Premiere Edition, limited-edition version of its future production
sports car. Reservations can be made via the company’s “bespoke app,” available at the
brand’s official site. The Premiere Edition will be limited to only 1,995 cars, a reference to the year when Alpine was stablished.
“Alpines made such a mark because of the elegance of their designs, their nimble handling and their memorable successes in world class motor racing and rallying,” Alpine’s managing director Michael van der Sande commented."
"The interest that the announcement of Alpine’s return has generated across the globe inspired us to give sports car enthusiasts and Alpine fans early opportunity to reserve the new car. The Premiere edition versions of the new model will be the first to come off the line and we wanted to allow Alpine fans to choose the number of their car.”
Reserving an example requires a deposit of €2,000, while the full price stands at between €55,000 and €60,000 in France. Customers will be able to select their preferred number from 1 to 1,955, depending on availability. The Premiere Edition will be offered in Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Luxemburg, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom.
Most of the details regarding the new car, tentatively called A120, are still kept in secret.
Spy shots have already revealed the production variant will be almost identical to the
Alpine Vision concept, and different reports have claimed power will be provided by a 1.8-liter turbocharged unit with 250 horsepower (186 kilowatts), developed by Renaultsport. Alpine has confirmed the acceleration from a standstill to 62 miles per hour (100 kilometers per hour) will take 4.5 seconds.
First customer deliveries are scheduled for late next year.
