not all CSLs were fitted with thinner 5mm glass, but all factory competition CSLs were equipped with them.
Most of the "stradtpaket" CSLs (including 500 UK market cars) came with standard E9 glass, while on many of the remainder it could be specified (and Plexi as well).
Tellingly, the part number is the same as that for Glaverbel Porsche 911 RS windscreens which were installed only on lightweight cars, not Tourings.
there were far fewer lightweight CSLs produced than 911RSs.
It's truly a unicorn... the only one I've known of in 30+years.
