Merece la pena verlo al margen de la historia que hay detrás también por la buena edición de video...
When we first hatched the idea for our Audi Driver series, the idea was simply to highlight interesting people who own the cars we love. Often this means the person is a celebrity, actor or athlete. Fame isn’t the only thing that makes people interesting and worth reading about though, and that is well exemplified by R8 owner Wayne Simpson.
Following a work accident in 2007 that left him paralyzed from the chest down, Wayne Simpson was forced to re-think his car ownership… namely finding something automatic. That didn’t stop his car enthusiasm though, and he picked up an Audi A3 that he immediately started to upgrade with the usual things… springs, wheels, etc.
Wayne’s since had an A4, then the R8 and now an RS 6 in addition. You’ve probably caught his purple RS 6 or bagged R8 in our UK show coverage. The fact that Simpson is in a wheelchair is the least of his concerns, especially the rolling ones.
Check out this video from Archive Media to learn more about Wayne and his collection of Audis. Thanks to Bill C. for the tip.
The time has come... The Passion is here. A collaboration between ourselves Archive Media, and our good friend Mark O'Donoghue.
Being our first short documentary film; we couldn't have stumbled across a better automotive tale if we'd tried. One truly inspirational individual, together with a set of cars most people could only dream of owning and driving, would only result in one thing - a story we just had to capture.
We're super proud of this one, and we hope you enjoy feasting your eyes on this, as much as we did making it.
If you're into your Audi's this isn't one to be missed...
