Is Finally Coming 23 HOURS AGO BY JARED ROSENHOLTZ SCOOP But is it from Toyota? No matter how many people cry out on the internet saying the 2020 Toyota Supra should have a manual transmission option, it looks like Toyota has decided to leave the ZF eight-speed automatic as the lone gearbox. This means there will not be a manual MKV Supra, at least not from Toyota. Enter European Auto Group, the Texas-based tuning shop known best for building the world's only Ferrari 430 Scuderia with a gated manual transmission. EAG is also working on building the world's first Ferrari 458 manualand now will turn their sights on the new 2020 Toyota Supra. That's right, EAG owner Art Bartosik has told CarBuzz in an exclusive interview that the first MKV Supra manual swap is currently underway and "we are now taking customer deposits." All those people who said they'd buy the Supra if it came with a manual can finally stop their crying because EAG is ready to answer their prayers. Bartosik says the swap will cost "around $12,000 for parts and labor" and will take "between 30 to 45 days to complete." Pre-orders are now open for $6,000 and you can call EAG to arrange to have your car shipped to Texas. Once completed, owners will have a unique car that should undoubtedly be sought after by enthusiasts. EAG will use all BMW OEM parts, meaning the transmission should be perfectly suited to the Supra's B58 BMW-sourced engine. Bartosik says EAG will also partner with ProTuning Freaks, a Canada-based BMW tuner, to offer a power increase alongside the manual swap. The tuned car is expected to produce around 420 to 430 horsepower to the wheels, which is a healthy increase from the stock car's 335 hp rating. Bartosik says he is thrilled to partner with ProTurning Freaks because he's owned several BMW cars tuned by them in the past and he has "put over 40,000 miles on them with no issues." As for the warranty, this swap will likelyvoid Toyota's warranty (at least partially) but Bartosik says EAG is looking into a four-year/50,000-mile warranty to cover all of the cars. In addition to the manual swaps, EAG will offer an entire catalog for the MKV Supra including "an aero kit, carbon fiber roof, and mirror caps, wheels, suspension modifications, and exhaust." We also asked Bartosik which shifter he plans to use for the manual Supra and he said "I really like the one from the GR concept car," in reference to the hybrid Toyota GR HV Sports concept. "We want the shifter to have a flip-up design, just like the concept, with the button underneath programmed to activate Sport Mode." If you want to get an up-close look at the car, EAG will have a booth at this year's SEMA show in Las Vegas in November. For more information about ordering a manual Supra, visit EAG's website and their GatedSix website, for more information about other manual swaps like the Ferrari 430, 458, and 599.
Este con 450 cv... Tuned 2020 Toyota Supra Already Setting Low-11 Second Quarter-Mile Times BY BRAD ANDERSON | POSTED ONAUGUST 13, 2019 1 Toyota Supra deliveries now kicking off, tuning companies have started to work their magic on the Japanese car manufacturer’s all-new sports car and some very fast 2020 Supras have started to hit drag stripes around the world. In this video, we’re presented with a 2020 Supra that’s been worked on by a company called Real Street Performance. It pumps out a total of 442 hp and 477 lb-ft (646 Nm) of torque through the rear wheels thanks to a new exhaust system, downpipe, methanol injection, and an ECU tune. To put that into comparison, Toyota claims the new Supra produces ‘just’ 335 hp from the factory. Early drag strip experiences involving the new Supra have indicated that if there’s one thing that holds the car back, it is a lack of grip off the line. To counteract this, the following example has been outfitted with sticky Toyo R888R tires to ensure it can put all its power to the ground. During the car’s one and only run in the video below, it set a blistering quarter-mile time of 11.48-seconds at 118.33 mph (190 km/h). That’s quick, very quick. In fact, an 11.4-second quarter-mile time is 1.1-seconds faster than a stock Supra recently achievedshortly after it was delivered last month. Not only does this show that Toyota and BMW have created a very enticing platform but shows how easy it is to modify the B58 engine found under the hood of the Supra. The future is looking bright in the world of Supra tuning.

Este ya le saca 527 cv a la rueda... y dicen que llegarán a ponerlo en 1000 cv 2020 Toyota Supra Tuned To Deliver 527 HP At The Wheels The tuner thinks there's even more power to extract. A new video from DME Tuning shows that the firm now has one on a dyno making an impressive 527.67 horsepower (394 kilowatts) and 452.47 pound-feet (614 newton-meters) of torque at the wheels. DME Tuning doesn't offer specific details about what's necessary to push the Supra's 3.0-liter inline-six engine to this level. "She’s got a lot more in her," the business claims. Early indications suggest that the new Supra's engine responds well to tuning. Just an ECU remap from Litchfield can push the output to 420 hp (313 kW) and 440 lb-ft (597 Nm) torque. Adding a downpipe and exhaust can push the figure closer to 450 hp (336 kW). Experts predict the Supra's BMW-sourced B58 engine's bottom end could be capable of handling 1,000 hp (746 kW) without any modifications. However, the powertrain might pose other challenges to tuners. For example, the intake manifold is plastic with an intercooler integrated into it. From a maintenance perspective, having the timing chain and cam gears at the back of the engine could make accessing them a lot more difficult if something goes wrong. For folks who want to keep their Supra stock, chief engineer Tetsuya Tada promises that new variants arrive should arrive every year, including ones with more power eventually.
Loudest 2020 Supra In The World Has Magnaflow Exhaust, Sounds Meaty 31 Aug 2019, 18:45 UTC · The race to building the [insert favorite adjective here] 2020 Toyota Supra in the world is still going strong. For now, we'll focus on the loudest Mk V out there, a title that probably goes to the black example sitting before us. Sure, the engine compartment of the A90 Supra is occupied by a BMW B58 motor, but the exhaust layout is obviously different, so new fabrication work is required. According to Tj Hunt, the YouTuber who runs this Supra, we're looking at the first actual build of the sort - while multiple aftermarket developers have announced custom exhaust for the Japanese sportscar, nobody had actually put those plans into metal before. We're looking at a 3.5 inch front section, which goes into a 3-inch rear section, while the whole thing is a straight pipe, albeit one that could allow a pair of mufflers to be installed. Oh, and let's not forget the extra chamber that looks like a one-entry-no-exit muffler, which is here to reduce droning for that all-important cruising. As is the case with the stock hardware, Magnaflow, the developer who built the exahust, has fitted valves that allow the driver to switch between two levels of aural intensity. Note that, since the car had already been fitted with a 4-inch downpipe, the new exhaust allowed it to deliver an extra 14 ponies. However, the said value is for the straight pipe, while adding mufflers actually saw the turbocharged 3.0-liter stragiht-six losing a few ponies. That being said, the YouTube video portraying the aftermarket work is rather silly, so let's skip to the important points, shall we? Those would be 1:21 (cold startup), 3:28 (revving with the valves opened), 713 (dyno pull) and 16:37 (in-car pull soundtrack). As mentioned in the intro, the modding won't stop here and we'll return to the matter as soon as this side of the market makes significant progress.

New 2020 Supras Tuned by Totota at SEMA 2019. GR Supra Wasabi Concept The Toyota Genuine Accessory Team cast its vision of “a Supra for the masses” and dubbed it the Wasabi Concept. This GR Supra features massive Brembo B-M Brakes, Öhlins suspension upgrades, Toyota forged aluminum wheels and Five Axis aero parts that are sure to spice things up for the enthusiast driver. GR Supra 3000GT Concept TCD created the 3000GT Concept as a tribute to the iconic TRD3000GT Supra body kit of the mid-90s that was released in celebration of the Supra’s success in JGTC competition. This modern take on that era of racing will stir up feelings of nostalgia among Supra race fanatics. GR Supra Heritage Edition The GR Supra Heritage Edition was inspired by the vision of GVP, Toyota Division Marketing, Ed Laukes. He tasked Marty Schwerter of Motorsports Technical Center to blend elements of the MKIV Supra from the late-90s with the new 2020 GR Supra. This infusion of style pays tribute to the Supra’s heritage. Tuned to produce over 500 horsepower on a stock long block, this homage to the past produces tire-melting performance that complements its new retro-modern aesthetics. GR Supra HyperBoost Edition The GR Supra HyperBoost Edition is NASCAR analyst and broadcast personality, Rutledge Wood’s dream build. Wood, a self-proclaimed Supraphile, expressed his vision for the Supra to his builder, Rick Leos of Lucky Leos 17 Motorsports. They transformed his concept into reality as his aptly named project features a custom turbo kit that more than doubles the output to 750-plus horsepower. A 20-piece carbon-fiber wide-body kit gives this hyper-boosted machine more aggressive body lines with broad shoulders and a menacing stance. GR Supra GT4 The GR Supra GT4 debuted at the 2019 Geneva Auto Show this past March. This concept drew the attention of drivers interested in getting involved in the popular GT4 racing class. Developed by Gazoo Racing, this well-balanced chassis features an FIA compliant cage, racing suspension components, Brembo racing brakes, OZ Racing wheels and a host of motorsports components. The GT4 class is going to really heat up with this turn-key race car! GR Supra Performance Line Concept Toyota Customizing & Development (TCD) designed the Performance Line Concept as its vision of a GR Supra clad in functional carbon-fiber aerodynamic components. Add 19-inch forged aluminum wheels and this Supra Concept delivers both in form and function.
