BMW ha creado involuntariamente el mejor asiento de carreras para personas discapacitadas en G8X M3 / M4


Pedí los baquet cf sin sentarme en ellos y mi pedido finalmente llega en unas pocas semanas. También estoy paralizado y uso una silla de ruedas manual, así que me ha preocupado un poco entrar y salir del coche y estar cómodo.

Me senté en un Kith M4 hoy y me alegro de haber comprado los asientos de baquet. Estos asientos se ajustan a mi estructura como un guante y eran sorprendentemente cómodos. La razón principal por la que compré estos asientos fue para evitar que mis piernas se movieran durante los viajes enérgicos. En mi E92 M3, a menudo tengo que levantar mi pierna izquierda y colocarla en la placa de apoyo mientras conduzco. Esa joroba en el medio de los asientos de baquet en el G82 evita que mis piernas se deslicen. Superar el gran refuerzo lateral al entrar en el coche es mi mayor desafío. Puedo pasar por encima del cojín, pero me preocupa el desgaste por deslizarme sobre él con las piernas. Hasta ahora, mi única solución es poner una toalla sobre el cojín para evitar el desgaste. Puedo salir bien saltando sobre el cojín y volviendo a mi silla de ruedas. El espacio entre mi silla de ruedas y el asiento cf tiene más de un pie de largo, pero puedo transferirme con facilidad. Los asientos son tan delgados que mi silla de ruedas puede caber en el asiento trasero sin tener que subir el asiento del pasajero.

También envolveré el respaldo de los asientos en PPF para protegerlos de que mis ruedas o la silla puedan rayarlos mientras conduzco. Siempre quise asientos de carreras en mi auto, pero no pude conseguirlos porque necesitaba asientos eléctricos. Ya no puedo mover físicamente los asientos manuales mientras usas la parte inferior del cuerpo para moverlos hacia adelante y hacia atrás.

BMW ha creado involuntariamente el mejor asiento de carreras para una persona discapacitada. Debería haber filmado un video sobre cómo entré y salí con la silla de ruedas durante mi visita, pero a continuación se muestra cómo entro en mi E92M3, que es exactamente de la misma manera.

BMW has unintentionally created the best racing seat for disabled person in G8X M3/M4

I ordered the cf buckets without sitting in them and my order finally arrives in a few weeks. I’m also paralyzed and use a manual wheelchair so I’ve been a little worried about getting in and out the car and being comfortable.

I got to sit in a Kith M4 today and boy am I glad I purchased the bucket seats. These seats fit my frame like a glove and were surprisingly comfortable. The main reason I purchased these seats was to prevent my legs from moving around during spirited drives. In my E92 M3 I often have to pick my left leg back up and place it back on the kick plate while driving. That hump in the middle of the bucket seats in the G82 prevents my legs from sliding around. Getting over the large side bolster when entering the car is my biggest challenge. I am able to get over the bolster but I am worried about wear from sliding over it with my legs. So far my only solution is to put a towel over the bolster in order to prevent wear. I am able to get out fine by hopping over the bolster and back into my wheelchair. The gap between my wheelchair and cf seat is over a foot long but I am able to transfer with ease. The seats are so thin my wheelchair can fit in the back seat without having the passenger seat moved up.

I will also be wrapping the back of the seats in PPF to protect them from my wheels or chair possibly scratching them while driving. I have always wanted racing seats in my car but couldn’t get them because I needed power seats. I can no longer physically move manual seats as you use your lower body to move them back and forth.

BMW has unintentionally created the best racing seat for a disabled person. I should have shot a video on how I got in and out with the wheelchair during my visit but below is how I get into my E92M3 which is the same exact way.

The new BMW M3 Competition and M4 Competition are truly impressive cars. I drove them both earlier this year and the combination of 510 horsepower and a sporty agile chassis made them both incredibly competent both on road and on track. They have amazing traction for a rear wheel drive car and at the time I wondered just what they would be like with BMW's X-Drive system. Well this M4 Competition M X-Drive Convertible not only has X-Drive but also has no roof ! It boasts drop dead gorgeous looks but the big question is how does it drive ?

The #BMWM3 has always been the benchmark super sport sedan and when the all-new generation came out last year, BMW really raised the bar even higher. For 2022, the #M3Competition is finally available with xDrive AWD, which means the new #M3 can sprint to 60 in 3.4 seconds and reach 180 mph. Those numbers should be conservative so we look forward to retesting this car at a later date to see if we can crack the 3 second barrier.

During the 2021 Essen Motorshow I have filmed the all new AC Schnitzer ACS3 SPORT, based on the BMW M3 G80.
AC Schnitzer has revealed a suite of upgrades it has developed for the G80 BMW M3 Competition. Its improvements add power, aero elements, suspension components and should get you moving in a hurry – both to the nearest distribution center and away from it.
First and foremost, the tuner has passed its magic wand over the M3 Competition’s straight-six engine to raise power from 503 hp (510 PS/375 kW) and 479 lb-ft (650 Nm) of torque all the way up to 582 hp (590 PS/434 kW) and 553 lb-ft (750 Nm) of torque. All of which also comes with a warranty of up to four years.
To hint at the extra power, AC Schnitzer has also added a sport exhaust system with two carbon “Sport” tailpipes on either side of the rear. Together they bring improved flow and better sound qualities at the same time.
The M3 Competition can also be lowered 15-20mm (0.5-078 inches) at the front. The suspension spring kit with RS coilovers makes both compression and rebound adjustable.
AC Schnitzer has been careful not to create a needlessly stiff suspension and says its motto has been “better fast than hard,” which is quite the mantra. It has led to a suspension that the company says has “good-natured load change reactions and gentle understeer at the limits.”
A front-splitter (which can be installed with no need for painting) increases downforce by as much as 40 kg (88 lbs) at 200 km/h (124 mph). Aero continues down the sides of the M3 with a four-piece deflector set for the front fenders, which are complemented by design elements on the hood.
At the back, meanwhile, a roof spoiler adds another 20 kg (44 lbs) of downforce. The combination of a rear diffusor, a new Carbon “Racing” rear wing that has a gurney flap makes another 70 kg (154 lbs) of downforce to keep you good and planted through the corners.
Keeping unsprung weight low, meanwhile, are the AC3 Lightweight Forged Wheels that are available in Silver/Anthracite or Anthracite/Silver and measure 10.0 J x 20 inches. The wheels can be fitted with 285/30 R 20 tires at the front and 295/30 R 20 tires at the back.
Inside, AC Schnitzer has designed its own steering wheel made of fine black Nappa leather and black Alcantara. Recessed grips offer a more comfortable place for the driver to rest their thumbs.
The tuner also offers bigger paddle shifters to make them easier to find. Aluminum pedals and footrests are joined by an aluminum keyholder and cover for the iDrive Controller to make the interior look sportier.

The new BMW M4 Competition is one of our favourite cars launched this year, we loved how it combined everyday usability with the ferocious performance of a full on BMW M car. This is the xDrive all wheel drive version of the M4, it can send power to the front wheels when needed, but inevitably adding the xDrive system has added weight to the car, and the question remains? Is the M4 Competition xDrive still a proper M car or even more than that could it be the ultimate M car?

BMW G80 M3 Competition Genuine M Performance Carbon Fibre Side Skirt, Steering wheel


G80 M3 Competition Rear Wheel Drive in Dravit Grey.
Just got the car for few days and really can't wait to mod it for a bit.
Wanting to upgrade the car bit by bit so this time only two parts was modded using Genuine parts.
M Performance Carbon Fibre Side Skirts and M Performance Alcantara Steering wheel for now.
The whole side skirt assembly has to be detached from the car first then the original gloss black skirts can be removed to put the new ones on. Only new BMW plastic rivets were needed for the installation, no extra screws needed.

Ya llevamos varios meses con G80 a mogollón y todavía no he visto a ningún valiente quitarle el frontal con los mega riñones y plantarle un parachoques de aftermarket. Donde están esos diseñadores tan charlatanes???

Los chicos holandeses de Autopnl,han puesto en su M3 un nuevo escape...Dios mío como suena!!!Dice el amigo que tiene un tono e46 en algún modo,y sí se aprecia!
Parece ser que bmw ha hecho una actualización de software reciente que ha modificado el sonido de motor para bien.

Pues tienes razón que todavía no hemos visto ningún valiente, aunque yo no pierdo la esperanza :LOL: los primeros que iban a sacarlos eran los de Prior Design que no han hecho nada con la riñonada como dijeron, lo último suyo es este Taycan PeDeTe que han llevado a Essen, igual te pilla cerca y podías pasarte a echárselo en cara, a ver que excusa te ponen... biggrin

Mat’s got his hands on the Alfa Romeo Giulia GTAm, and he’s going head-to-head against his own BMW M3 to see which is the king of the track! But what do you think, does the M3 stand a chance? After all, this Alfa is absolutely wild! For starters, it’s powered by a 2.9-litre twin-turbo V6 that delivers 540hp & 600Nm - an increase on the regular Giulia Quadrifoglio. It’s also packed with loads of carbon fibre and it’s been fitted with carbon-ceramic brakes. What’s more, in order to reduce weight, it’s had the rear seats ripped out and replaced them with a roll cage! It’s pretty exclusive, though, with only 500 set to be made. And as a result, it’s pretty expensive, with costs starting from £150,000! As for the M3, it’s housing a 3-litre straight-six under the bonnet that can put down 510hp & 650Nm. It’s a bit heavier than the Alfa, but then again, it also costs half the amount, starting from £75,000! So can the Alfa prove its worth? Or is the BMW the smart choice? Matt Watson y su canal me resulta simpático pero no tengo claro su capacidad de pilotaje.

Porque para hacer vueltas rápidas y que sea un valor fiable hay que ser muy muy buen piloto. Recuerdo que Jason Camissa decía de Randy Pobst lo fiable que era y como en las 3 vueltas que hace para marcas tiempos en general siempre clava el mejor tiempo en la primera vuelta antes de que se degraden los neumáticos y como la diferencia en las tres vueltas (degradación a parte) es bajísima...vamos que te clava las vueltas a la décima.

El sonido del mío no me disgusta, pero es cierto de que es un tanto lights, ha mejorado con la última actualización de software pero le sigue faltando algo.

Este del vídeo no me disgusta sin ser demasiado macarrilla se nota la mejora.
