Who’s ready for an absolutely incredible track battle?! Mat’s got his hands on both the new Porsche 911 GT3 & the Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio GTAm, and they’re going head-to-head to see which is the true king of the track!
First up he’s in the Alfa. It’s powered by a 2.9-litre twin-turbo V6 which delivers 540hp & 600Nm of torque. But of course, this is no ordinary performance saloon!
The back seats have been ripped out, there’s a huge wing at the back and a whole host aero adjustments across the car to get your hands on. What’s more, it’s limited to only 500 models, and each one will set you back at least £150,000! And then we have the Porsche. With a glorious 4-litre naturally-aspirated flat-six under the bonnet, it’ll put down 510hp & 470Nm.
The GT3 has also SO many drivetrain updates over the standard 911 - suspension, vents, brakes… All of these and SO much more has been updated! Just like the Alfa though, it doesn’t come in cheap, costing from £128,000! So, which one is the true track king? There’s only one way to find out… LET’S RACE!

Porsche 911 GT3 RS 2023 espiado con un capó más grande y un spoiler de producción

Con el Porsche 911 GT3 2021 recibiendo críticas favorables , el mundo está conteniendo la respiración por la versión GT3 RS aún más extrema, que se espera el próximo año.


Los primeros prototipos se espiaron en 2020, pero el desarrollo ha avanzado desde entonces, y las últimas fotos espía revelan más detalles sobre el diseño final del GT3 RS y los diferentes componentes bajo el camuflaje.

Mire lo suficientemente cerca y notará que este prototipo del 911 GT3 RS lleva una nueva capucha con enormes dobleces con una especie de solapas aerodinámicas. También luce un parachoques delantero rediseñado con tomas laterales más grandes y un par de guardabarros delanteros anchos con extractores de aire cubiertos por extensiones de carrocería falsas.



Si bien el parachoques trasero también está cubierto, podemos ver el nuevo diseño de cuello de cisne para el alerón trasero ridículamente masivo y activo que se encuentra en la cubierta del motor. Dado que el modelo está próximo al final de su desarrollo, es posible que este alerón trasero sea el que veremos en la versión final de producción. Si lo hace, será una de las alas más grandes que se ofrecen en un automóvil legal para la calle, lo que demuestra la conexión del GT3 RS con el mundo de los deportes de motor. Otra característica interesante son las solapas del techo que podrían mejorar aún más la aerodinámica del automóvil para conducir en la pista.



Se espera que el GT3 RS cuente con un motor de seis cilindros aspirado naturalmente con una cilindrada de 4.2 litros (aumentada de la unidad de 4.0 litros del GT3), produciendo entre 532-572 hp (397-427 kW / 540-580 PS) .

Además de la aerodinámica rediseñada, el nuevo GT3 RS también tendrá una configuración de suspensión más enfocada y frenos más grandes del GT3, que ya es enormemente capaz. Esto lo convertirá en uno de los autos de producción más rápidos, si no el más rápido , en Nurburgring , al menos hasta que Porsche presente la versión insignia GT2 RS del 992.

Porsche podría presentar el 911 GT3 RS a principios de este año, aunque se rumorea que su debut podría retrasarse por un posible problema de certificación del motor.

With the 2021 Porsche 911 GT3 getting favorable reviews, the world is holding its breath for the even more extreme GT3 RS version, which is expected next year.

The first prototypes were spied in 2020 but development has moved on since, and the latest spy shots are revealing more details on the GT3 RS’s final design and different components under the camouflage.

Look close enough and you will notice that this 911 GT3 RS prototype is wearing a new hood with huge double scoops featuring some kind of aerodynamic flaps. It also sports a redesigned front bumper with larger side intakes and a pair of wide front fenders with air extractors covered by fake body extensions.

While the rear bumper is also covered, we can see the new swan neck design for the ridiculously massive, and active, rear spoiler sitting on the engine cover. Given that the model is close to the end of its development, it is possible that this rear wing is the one we are going to see in the final production version. If it does, it will be one of the largest wings offered on a street-legal car, proving the GT3 RS’s connection with the world of motorsports. Another cool feature is the roof flaps which could further improve the car’s aerodynamics for driving on the track.

The GT3 RS is expected to feature a naturally aspirated six-cylinder engine with a rumored displacement of 4.2-liters (increased from the GT3’s 4.0-liter unit), producing between 532-572 hp (397-427 kW / 540-580 PS).

Besides the redesigned aero, the new GT3 RS will also get a more focused suspension setup and larger brakes from the already hugely capable GT3. This will make it one of the fastest – if not the fastest – production car around the Nurburgring, at least until Porsche unveils the flagship GT2 RS version of the 992.

Porsche could introduce the 911 GT3 RS as early as this year, although rumor has it that its debut could be delayed over a possible engine certification issue.

A chegada da sétima geração do 911 GT3 vinha sendo ansiosamente aguardada pelos fãs da Porsche.
Desenvolvida em estreita colaboração com a Porsche Motorsport, a tecnologia oriunda das pistas foi transferida para o modelo de produção da forma mais consistente que se já se viu.
A suspensão dianteira é composta por braços transversais duplos e a aerodinâmica sofisticada, com difusor e asa traseira com origem no carro de corrida GT 911 RSR.
Já o motor boxer de seis cilindros, de quatro litros, produz 509 cavalos de potência e tem sua base no do 911 GT3 R, experimentado e testado em corridas de endurance.
Esse propulsor também é usado praticamente sem alterações na 911 GT3 Cup. Com uma velocidade máxima de 318 km/h (versão com câmbio PDK), é ainda mais rápido do que o anterior 911 GT3 RS.

Também estreando no mercado brasileiro o novo 718 Cayman GT4 é um esportivo que representa o ingresso do cliente no universo GT da Porsche.
O conceito de posicionamento central do motor proporciona um equilíbrio dinâmico de todo o veículo. O modelo vem equipado com o recém-desenvolvido motor boxer naturalmente aspirado de seis cilindros, com quatro litros, que produz 420 cv e rotação máxima de até 8.000 rotações por minuto.
O 718 Cayman GT4 pode atingir 304 km/h e acelera da imobilidade até 100 km/h em 4,4 segundos. Novos itens incluem destaques tecnológicos como o controle adaptativo dos cilindros: em operação sob carga parcial, ele interrompe temporariamente o processo de injeção numa das bancadas de cilindros, reduzindo assim o consumo de combustível.

We've brought in the Porsche 911 GT3 RS to go up against the new 992 GT3 to see which is the true king over the quarter-mile! Sure, you'd probably rather be in one of these going around a track, but we had access to both of them at the same time, so of course, we had to drag race them! When it comes to the specs, these two are remarkably similar. Starting with Mat in the GT3 RS, it's powered by a 4-litre naturally-aspirated flat-six which can put down 520hp & 470Nm. It also comes equipped with a dual-clutch gearbox and drives the rear wheels only. As for the new GT3... Well, it's also powered by a 4-litre NA flat-six, although it only produces 510hp! However, it produces the same amount of torque, and it comes equipped with the same gearbox as the RS. So, they're oh-so-similar, but which do you think will be first to the chequered flag?! There's only one way to find out... LET'S RACE!
